Taylor Fisher

Post by DartsFan »

A few of you ask about Taylor Fisher who is amazing little play, so quick on the ball and knows how to make it look easy when looking for that killer pass, young player but with a brain of a seasonal pro, I am shocked like other since his man of the match and then scoring a goal has not been given another run out.
Well at the start of the season he was dual signed to Beckenham Town FC and was playing every game and they were sitting top of their league, he got called back played the game everyone is talking about then he was on the bench, then went back to Beckenham and is now on the bench and not getting back in the first team due to Dartford calling him back.

I hope Taylor is given another shot as I know he will be a big asset to Dartford if they give him the chance before we lose another talent as we normally do, come on managers look to our youth stop bringing in players who are past it or not committed to the black and white

John, I did suspect that this thread might have come from a close friend or family member. If you are correct, I can understand the motivation but I really don't think waging a campaign to get your son in the team is very helpful. Taylor was very impressive in his couple of outings but I don't think it would have been fair for him to dislodge one of the senior players at this stage. Of course it's all a matter of opinion, but families are always going to see things from their own perspective whereas managers have to look at the big picture. In my view, it was perfectly reasonable that Taylor be expected to bide his time and wait for the next opportunity, but I did wonder why that opportunity hadn't come in the last few games when we were so clearly short on numbers. The lad has definitely got something and I was disappointed we didn't see him at least on the bench, but I am now wondering if his absence might be a backlash to outside interference. I hope everyone can just move on from here and that Taylor has the good sense to get his head down and wait for his chance. The fans like him and he's a really good prospect.

I'm pretty sure that the inital post on Taylor came from a 'true place', and Spike is clearly right that it is in the best interests of all concerned that we move on positively.. - Lets be honest, I certainly took a bite when Jonty suggested 'Bench time' for Lee, -when on reflection, however misguided,, it came from an honest place, and our reaction in supporting Lee, actually unnecessary. I suspect that Nobes can 'intimidate some Players from 20 yards away, (let alone critics !) Taylor has the makings, if he stays close to a planned development.

While I'm at it, I know that Herne Bay are propping up the table in the Bostik/Evo superglue league. But they have this kiddy, Jake Embury who can't seem to stop scoring albeit with his head/feet. I don't think he will be at HB for much longer. It would be nice to think the Dart's could take on another lad like Cody McDonald and the way this lad is banging them in, it would be nice to think it could be him. Although I wouldn't think that he has gone unnoticed by other leading Kent clubs.

That's a huge setback for the lad, but he's still young and has time to turn his career around.
