Credit where credit is due JC & AF have managed to turn things around and have recently brought some quality signings/loanee’s in to the team which have made us a stronger outfit that can now actually score goals and along with Sheringham we do look to have 3 very good forwards.

As others have said I need to have a think on my motm as there are a few contenders but to be honest for me it has to be one of the defenders as we was rock solid today and for Vose to not have a single save to make all game says it all. I thought Mark Onyemah had an excellent game today as well considering he’s been out injured for so long.

A great result & clean sheet and even better is the fact we’ve managed to keep 2 clean sheets and do the double over Woking.

COYD’s

Excuses are out.

1. Lee Noble is a nasty piece of work who made foul after foul and elbowed one of their players in the head.
I wonder if that was on the woking player on his way down diving again. Fkin cheats.

2. The standard of the officials was poor.
I wonder if it’s coz he stopped giving free kicks to them every time they whinged. (I’m sure I heard Bradders shout at the ref it’s not a free kick just coz they whinge)

3. They fell into our lump it, lump the players and smash it approach.

It’s hilarious.

Someone tell them they were beaten by a better side who’s fans know how to behave at home.

They really are a pathetic joke.

I have to mention our management team,I and several others were critical of them earlier on in the campaign.
But credit where credit is due, we are playing some good stuff and
although we are not the finished article our results against Bath and Woking prove that we are a match a for anyone in this league
Bring on Torquay!!

Woking managers interview after the game, translator is certainly required.
I could just about make out they wasn’t very good and we should’ve had a red card.

Good solid gutsy win with the defence outstanding especially Mark Onyemah considering it was his first game for a while. There was only one team that looked top of the League and it wasn't Woking. Good to see Andy Pugh on the pitch before the game looking well.

Magnificent performance all round yesterday. Defensively we are looking very strong, combative in midfield and we have exciting players up front who know where the goal is.

I've read the match thread on the Cards forum. In the main they're very critical of their own team. Some really don't like us at all while a few are complimentary of the DFC stadium and set up Of course others have different opinions. At least we don't have a massive edifice behind one goal and a corrugated shed for a stand.

One other matter. I hope the little lad on the half way line who was struck in the face by a ball in the warm up before the game is OK today. Fair bit of blood on the floor. Anyone have any news on that?

First off, when I say our back four has been the key to what's been going on the last six weeks or so, I heard the interview with Adam on Kent on the way home, and agreed with him that it's the back five that deserve credit. Bailey Vose has been immense between the sticks, even though yesterday, he had sod all to do.
Woking were to be blunt, awful. They hardly threatened and apart from a worrying 5 minutes at the end of the 1st half when a shot flashed across the goal, they were pretty poor. They created nothing in the box.
I agree with 'Dowse' on one thing, our two lads in the middle won the midfield. But their 7 and 14 were constantly moaning and going down very easily. With a weaker Referee they might have got a lot more from their antics.
Mark Onyemah had an excellent game for a guy that had been out for 4 weeks, unbelievable stamina, and I hadn't realised just how small McQueen is.
But for me I couldn't see a way past giving Elliot my MOTM. He was top drawer first half, won every ball he went for, immense. Along with that 'nasty' Noble guy. Full marks to them both. We knew that getting Bradders to sign for maybe one more season was a no brainer.
Great performance from the lads, I just wish Woking had the balls to give us a decent game.
I do hope we don't get them in the play-offs, should we achieve it. Because them, losing to us again would be unbearable.

During a stoppage in play about 10 minutes from time I looked at a lot of Wokings players and the heads were down.
I hope that I never see this from a DF C team.
Well done lads ,you were up for it,you played for the shirt and
You earned your victory.

Woking are no mugs and were not top of the league for no reason, but the fact that they lacked invention and did not threaten us unduly was down to how well we played as a unit. Very solid at the back, Noble and Bradbrook won the centre midfield battles and never let Woking settle on the ball, whilst up front we had the pace and guile to cause their big centre backs plenty of problems. MOTM very difficult call, but Bradders shaved it for me.

Can't believe the whinging on their forum, always the Officials fault & again couldn't understand one word of their managers post match interview.
Basically;
Our 2 centre mids were better than theirs.
Our 2 x centre halves were better than theirs.
Our front 2 were much better than theirs...................oh and our other 5 were better than theirs as well !!
Torquay will win the league & i'm looking forward to meeting & beating them again in the play-offs, we have nothing to fear from any of the teams above us.
Great performance, great day.

nb; And hats off to whoever came up with the chant
"You've had your day out, now f*ck off home"
Loved that!!
