Always gutting when you concede a 92nd minute equaliser. However so close yet so far. But the spirit was good and the lads battled hard. Well done boys.

Well that was much more like the Dartford FC that I know, a good honest, gritty performance and a very entertaining game. We worked so hard today and came very close to nicking the win, but in the end a draw was a fair result. The travelling Darts' fans really reacted to the effort and vocal support was very good. If the players put in a shift like this every week then I expect the support will follow. There were a few contenders for MOTM but I whittled it down to Bradders and Jampot. In the end, I went for Jamie by a whisker because his work-rate throughout the game was phenomenal and he didn't lose heart despite not getting the greatest of service. A much better performance from Phil Roberts today too, so maybe he just needs a run of games to get up to speed. Of our two wide men, Ryno was clearly the more effective, especially in the first half when he put in a couple of 50 yard defence splitting, diagonal passes that we should have made more of. For all his faults, I still believe Ryno is the most creative player in the squad. Coker on the other hand, had very little joy on the other side. He certainly has electric pace, but he made some very poor decisions and gave the ball away far too often for my liking. Overall though, especially when you consider we were without Nobes and Charlie, it wasn't a bad day at the office.

We gave a gutsy display with Bonner, Vint and Bradders holding us together and for a time it looked like we were going to mug Wealdstone for all 3 points. Jamie Philpot seems to be after the Danny Harris title "Duracell" he never stops running. Roberts was much improved and Haysie looked more like his old self with some defence splitting passes. I know we are short on numbers but Jordan Wynter is a midfielder and for me he struggled at fullback, what happened to that academy kid who had a couple of games at fullback he looked promising. Andre Coker is all smoke and no fire. Goal scoring remains the problem that could see us pushed out of the playoffs in this tight League.

Never easy playing Wealdstone and an away point, no qualms with that and thank you woodwork!

"Their support genuinely pathetic. They bottle it every time coming to the Vale". That's a quote from one of their head hunters, what's that all about?
