Defensively we played very well today and the lads in the back line especially deserve credit. It wasn't a pretty game and we created very few chances, but all the while you can keep a clean sheet you're in with a chance and so it proved when Vinty bundled the ball over the line to snatch the late winner. I can't pretend I agree or understand our team selection, but the lads on the pitch worked hard for the result so it would be churlish not to acknowledge that. Vint and Noble were excellent today, but Tom Bonner just shaded my MOTM vote today.

This team will go places under these 2 managers. Imagine where we would be with Andy Pugh pulling the strings which they were building on but unluckily were restricted in one of the greatest players around. These 2 lads running our team are brilliant.

I see that they had Luke Rooney playing for them today, strange that he is playing below his standard, how can they possibly afford him. Maybe he is not on contract and that he is going to be our new midfield maestro that we desperately need. I have got my prayer mat out for a new Eddie Mac or Jon Wallis. As long as we don't get another loanee!

Arthur, I had forgotten what a load of old b@llock$ you talk...welcome back.

In seriousness, Luke Rooney is a class act, a league one player when he has got his head together.

Rooney has been playing on and off in the SCEFL league with Stansfeld for a while ,he is a decent player, he has also been playing in America trying to go full time, had a spell at Bill and Ricky but has also struggled with injuries.

These 2 lads will get us to the promised land. Tony B needed time we MUST be positive. They are black and white more than many. Support them. Made friends with some Chelmsford lads who give Stringer their utmost. We must be the same. The hard work today was top dollar.COYD
