Slough 8th Dec 3pm.

Post by minty »

Not started a match thread for a few years and as it's only 24 hours to go till kick off, here we go. Still haven't managed to get to a home game so far, but I'll be looking at the updates.
3 points the order of the day I think.

Well I hope the disappointing finishing doesn't discourage us from playing with the same level of intensity that we did in the first half on Tuesday. We came out of the blocks with real purpose and played with an intensity that should have been enough to win the game. If only we had someone up front who could finish, we'd be in with a shout.

Yet another one I’ll be missing. Will be at the races and hoping that DFC are too. Yet another signing, wonder what the most players to represent our club in one season is? We must be fast approaching ‘Borrow’em Wood’ status.
Still, we’ve played some ok stuff lately, at Eastbourne we were pretty good (although shockingly bad in the replay) and the first half against Torquay was quite impressive. I can’t help thinking that some more stability in the squad would help, it's a total guess from one week to the next as to who is still on loan, who’s out on loan, who’s injured / unavailable / on holiday, who the new signing is, etc.

Seems to have been coming, judging by the Twitter feed. Complete contrast to the last match where we were making, but not taking, the chances.
