Hampton & Richmond v Dartford - Saturday 17th November

Post by Daveh »

An early start for this thread but some might appreciate a heads up regarding public transport for this fixture.

Due to industrial action by the RMT, South Western Railway advise that there will be no rail services to either Hampton or Hampton Court on Saturday.

Hampton and Richmond hosted the draw for the FA Cup 2nd round on the BBC last night, before playing their first round game v Oldham. I knew they were leading 1-0 but it wasn't until later in the evening that I read that Oldham scored in the 88th and 90th minutes to win the game. H & R must be gutted.
We seem to be playing all the cup giantkillers at the moment!!

Hi Pete, that depends whether one thinks Tranmere are a giant or a draw constitutes a giant killing! Only kidding mate.

Away day for our Darts and full of confidence after an excellent win against a good Oxford side.

Wishing everyone a safe journey and an enjoyable day all round.

Please be advised that as posted elsewhere, the coach time to Hampton and Richmond has changed to 11:00am to give us a bit more time due to there being a rugby match at Twickenham.

From our last six matches, we are top of the form guide, so our confidence will be high. Hampton on the other hand are having a poor run.

Play like we did Tuesday and we should secure three points - but who knows? Fickle game, football.

Short trip up the M3 for me, so count me in.

Any news about how Pughy's getting on?

Weather looks good, morale is good, form is good.
I like a trip to the Beveree, generally seem to have decent banter with the H&R fans. Pretty crazy to think that this time tomorrow we could be one point off the leaders (although very unlikely). The team looks and feels fresher with some of the duff summer signings gone. A draw would be perfectly reasonable, but we’ve got the buoyancy to get a result and keep the momentum up.

Arthur
Put that drink in the bar at Hampton on my tab but tell them I'm not sure when I will pay it as we'll hopefully be in a higher division next season so won't be back. ;)
Is that optimistic enough for you
Have a good afternoon and cheer them on for me whilst I sip a very good red wine in France for the day
