Arthur - I recommend you have a large plax on the rocks (your favourite) and stop spouting on this forum.Arthur Horsfield wrote:Arthur here,
Dear Ozy. May I call you that dear boy.
I recommend a bottle of juicy red Wakefields cabernet Sauvignon. Deliciously refreshing.

Arthur; May you “SPOUT” has much as you like, you are free to express your opinion like everyone else on this forum, whether they like it or not.
I do believe a little light hearted wit is needed sometimes, but somehow I think it goes way above certain people’s heads (it must be an age thing?).
Call me old fashioned; but Arthur can you tell me what “A PLAX ON THE ROCKS IS? Only there seems to be a que willing to buy you one.

Capricorn25 Thank you mate. That's all I try to do. We all love this club. And to be truthful it has helped me In so many ways in my life which was in a bad place. You are spot on. It is a free speech platform. Indeed TB commented last season that there seemed a lot of doom and gloom around PP at times last year and i do detect that a lot on the forum. As for a Plax on the rocks maybe people can design it. I will attempt the best proposal tonight or Saturday at H & R.

That was a very informative post Pete, which prompted me to watch the highlights. To say they were unlucky was an understatement, Oxford showed plenty of skill and moved the ball around fluently. The Darts will have to be at their very best to get a result tonight but I am hoping we will be playing against a team that will have tired legs...well, that is what I am hoping for. It would be nice to see Ben & Ryan make a start together or at least see Ryan given a chance from the bench. So much looking forward to this one. COYD.PeteSamson wrote:Having watched the Tranmere v Oxford City game yesterday, I can report that City were very unlucky not to be in the hat for the draw tomorrow as winners. For the first 15 minutes, Tranmere were on top and squandered a couple of scoring opportunities and City were not really at the races. Thereafter however, they began settling down and improving thereafter.
Even though they went 1-0 down, their heads never dropped and deservedly equalised five minutes later. Tranmere have been on a very good run since promotion back into the Football League EFL with some high scoring games. But yesterday, they were way off those levels as they were perhaps too complacent, misplaced passes, sloppy defending, 2nd to the ball. Very poor, just like a couple of seasons ago. Even when TR went 2-1 up, City deservedly responded and the took the lead at 2-3. It was only an equaliser in the last minute of ordinary time by TR stopping City making progress at the first attempt. The City no 7 on the left wing was involved in a lot of their good moves and it was no surprise when City took the lead. A very busy side whose confidence improved throughout the game and an excellent performance from their no 5 at the back, but the whole team were up for the game. I can now see how they walloped the Darts in the 3rd qualifying game! They now have the FA Cup draw to look forward to and the replay the following week.
Quite a few of their players were suffering from cramp as the game went on.
The Darts can certainly expect a tough game on Tuesday, judgi g by Saturday's slick performance. We will have to be at our best. City just never gave up.

Come on Team Dartford!
Will be rooting for the lads from the desert, kick off 10:45pm for me!
By the way did you fellow fans know that a few ex players read the forum?
I know this because one of them confirmed to me that despite my loyal support for the club since 1973 and contributing into the coffers over the years I am:
Hated by 99% of the players and management.
My reason for writing - Tostao Quashie got in touch and sends his regards, he's been in Saudi coaching, he was a humble player adored by the fans, well at least 99% of them!
My crime according to mentioned ex player - sticking up for the fans right to post an opinion that is not necessarily rose tinted.
Now I know exactly why so many of the posters don't bother anymore.
Bless you Jonty, enjoy the game.

These players need to chill out a little Gregg, its punters like us who pay their wages. As the great Roy Walker would say "say what you see". I don't want to play it safe like Groomy et al and as for that Arthur guiser...what the hell is all that about, what a cupid stunt. Let's see if they take the bait.
Does anyone know what the state of the pitch is like after all this rain.

Arthur here.
Dear Mr Rhodes.
Did you mean geezer. Do you think I jib in and am not like one of you (as Windsor Davies would say) lovely boys. Get yourself up there tonight. Give them your total support. Stop being (as Captain Mainwaring would say) a stupid boy.
