Gutted, as Deren is a decent keeper and his old man is a cool customer. Historically, we've done alright with goalkeepers (read Betenelli, Julian, Somogi) so just have to hope we don't bring in a Giarditokis (sp) or Brown. Wish Deren all the best with his new appointment.

Sad to see the lad going. Always a gentleman, even after being rested at the end of last season, not a whimper from him.
Always be welcomed back at Dartford. Anytime.
As for a replacement, is John Morton still around? I wouldn't put it past them.
Dan Lincoln was a fine keeper at Bognor last season, be nice to tempt him off the South Coast.
All the best Deren

I fully understand Daren's decision to leave the Club but I am disappointed that Daren is leaving D F C and wish him all the luck at CAFC!

Handled himself in first class way when he was dropped last season - no sulking or histrionics!

Shall miss his family especially his father and sister who were great supporters of Deren especially in the away matches!

Has been a great ambassador for the Club and a credit to his family - we shall miss you around the Club!

I heard about Deren's departure in the club bar just prior to the game. Glad I was at the game and had the opportunity to wish him well in his new role at CAFC. He did confirm he was retiring from playing, although I handn't realized he was still having recurring difficulties with his shoulder, so an understandable decision. Sad to lose him after excellent service to DFC. Thanks for all your efforts. Not often the Darts have had a current International player on our books, so again, well done Deren.

If DFC and CAFC could arrange a Testimonial at PP pre-season , this would be a fitting tribute to all that Deren has done for DFC , I am sure that the match would be well supported .

Deren truly is one of our own. A great and loyal club man.

Thanks for everything Deren. Here's hoping the job at Charlton works out well and is everything you hope for.

In view of the dedicated service Deren has given to DFC, a Testimonial should be arranged for him.

I am certain it would be well supported by one and all!

Wish Deren all the very best. What a great way to sign off by scoring the winner at Chippenham!
Fond memories of the Tuesday night trip to Truro with his old man and also stories of wanton behaviour not suitable for this forum which I think saw the back of Keaton Wood.
Hope a testimonial can be arranged as I’m sure Deren would appreciate it wholeheartedly.
