Darts v Dulwich Hamlet 3pm Sat 20th Oct

Post by spike »

Well if we can play with the same positivity, grit and determination that we showed at Chippenham then I think we'll do alright. One or two is fine, but I don't think it's a great strategy to have too many loanees in the side, so here's hoping the same core of committed DFC players will be playing and bringing the same level of commitment that earned us the 3 points on Saturday. Jamie and Charlie look a decent partnership up front so time for a little optimism I think.

I thought the second half display at Biii n Ricky would be the turning point of our season but we seemed to fall away again after that. But here's hoping we carry on where we left off Saturday v Chippenham!!

Let's hope that that is not 'famous last words'. Like to think we can get the win as I don't think DH are going to roll over, and will likely finish much higher than their present position. I do hope you are right on the Sheringham/Philpot partnership Spike.

The youth lads at DH played some really acctraciive football. I wonder if the first team reflect this. If so gonna take a well orgenaised performance with everyone on their game.

Watch the highlights of their game against Woking recently Kenty. They gave them a right old rodgering.

Well given the fact that Gavin Rose always has his Dulwich teams playing a high quality passing game I think it highly likely that having had time to find their feet at a higher level Hamlet could be a tough proposition. Also they have always wanted their youth section to play in the same style hence their first team coach is also their Youth Team manager. That person is well known to us Darts fans as he is Junior Kadi

I had expected to be coming down to see the Torquay game in November, but given that that game may be postponed if Torquay make progress in the FA Cup. However, this rearranged game makes it the perfect time for my first visit to PP this season as I was disappointed when it was a midweek game originally. As Patrick says above, Junior Kadi is a coach at Dulwich and was a player I was to sponsor 10 years ago and look forward to perhaps meeting him again. They seem a well run club and will give the Darts a hard game and hopefully a big crowd too.
Look forward to catching up with old friends.
