Indeed Alfie is a good player but I doubt if he would have been selected if there was not an age limit. Anyway well done to him for being chosen and scoring. The surprise element was more in being picked after sitting on the H & W subs bench of late.

not suggesting you infer this but it’s surprising how little credit Alfie got from a few. Tbf being on bench for H&W means little considering he spent plenty of time on bench with us too. He was still our best player.

That’s opinion based we obviously have some very good players but he was top goal scorer and player of year. We struggled when he didn’t play.

Shame about Amadou Ba. Against WSM he was by far our most liveliest player.

He looked like a decent player but never actually looked like scoring. However, I wouldn't blame him as he was always forced wide in search of the ball because we have a severe lack of wide players. With Philpott & Sheringham now playing regular I would like to see the management team bring in a quality winger as a replacement.
