Well Kev the last few days reading the posts has made the decision not to register for the new forum easier!

Gone are the days heading up to all about image to pick up my Forum shirt ready to wear at the next game and for the season ahead!

Gone are the days when you logged on around 12.00 on Friday and read Tony notes and thoughts for the coming game.

Log on after the game and vote for the MOTM or even slate the ref for some poor decision.

But over the last 18-24 months the forum has taken a turn for the worse, and if I have learnt anything over the last five months life is far to short!

Well done to 180 for keeping the Forum going for everyone who wants to carry on posting.

Wish everyone the best for the future and see you all around the ground.

Gilesy
One of the 30. Reg has infiltrated the inner sanctum bullshit. Sorry but once hes gone read over the posts after. A free for all to be "yes im a fan" but kingy should do this or that. Imposters the lot ot you. Was even reminded earlier that i dare to support jamie and flans. What a total prick i am. All fanny this see you around the ground. Yes around a small table . But you wont be able to dictate to the ever growing crowds coming in the ground even if Ade doesnt have the ability to look up. I can deal with 29 people not speaking to me. The forum is shite. JCJ apart.
Reg,

Why you attacking me, I have just said I’m not registering for the new Forum nothing against you!

Not attacking you Gilesy. One of the good guys . I hear your point nothing agsinst me. On a seperate point isnt it amazing that Reg can cause such a stir and/or furore amongst the 29. Kingy for me that means you must be doing so well. Thanks to JCJ , Darren and Double L for your support. Its appreciated. So the new forum is only 24 hours away. A horsfield free forum and how wonderful that will be for the 29 . To the club board and management ive tried my utmost to stop the idiots over the last 5 years and taken more than my fair share on the chin. But now Reg is rertiring underfeated 74 and 0. Wishing 180 all the best for his future efforts. To kingy take the praise today which is well earned and deserved but believe me the 29 can turn like milk.

What a fun read this has been

Thought we started brightly on Saturday but only lasted 10 minutes before Tonbridge's tactics started working and nullified our attack. Not sure on the reasons to not start Wanadio or Leonard but it didn't work. Our best spell came when Leonard was introduced but it wasn't enough for a win.

Fair point in the end. Definitely a handball in the box

Bring on the FA Cup

We are not going to win every game.
Tonbridge did their homework and deserved their point.
I have to agree with a previous poster, we need an enforcer in midfield ie. Bradbrook,Noble etc
I predicted a tight game and a 2-1 win but for once we were negated to a certain extent.
On to the cup game and a chance for our fringe players possibly?

Quote:
"I struggle to accept that kind of performance," said King. "I don't go home happy, I go home frustrated.

"I'll go home and won't be buzzy Steve, I'll be a little bit down. It's stupid isn't it, but that's my make-up. I don't like faking a win, we deserved to win - don't get me wrong - but that 20-25 minute spell they had annoys me.

"The first half performance we played like Brazil, the second half we played like rag-arse rovers. It was chalk and cheese."

Steve Kings words after the Eastbourne match .
No one questions Steve because this is his observation of the match in question . He said " "I don't go home happy, I go home frustrated.
and we all respect his take on the game because he is a great manager and expects better from his teams ?
So it begs the question as to why anybody who dare post the slightest criticism or observations is immediately vilified for their opinion ?
I mean ; if Steve King can get annoyed , frustrated , and also a little bit critical of his team ,even after a win, then why is it any different for a supporter to air his or her opinion (obviously without any personal abuse of players and staff of DFC or fellow supporters) on this forum ? Just saying :|

Tonbridge were the best team the Darts have played so far IMO , they basically stopped our midfield from controlling the game , and were always dangerous on the break . A draw was a fair reflection on the game ,although I believe if we had scraped a win ; Steve King would of still given a similar post match interview .

Delighted to be involved with this match, being able to listen to the match commentary. Thanks for that. Far better than having to tune in and update to a Twitter feed, which I don't normally get involved with.

I've also listened to SKs aftermatch interview on Kent Radio, and to be fair to him, he always sums up games very honestly. Results like this are going to happen throughout the season, cos as much as we would like to win by big margins every time, it just ain't going to happen, as not every player is going to perform every match at top level. It's called football. Add a local Derby into the mix, unsettling the style perhaps, but positively, we are still top of the league, still undefeated, and as the commentary said, we were the last team to lose its 100% record in the top 6 tiers of the pyramid after Spurs were smashed 3-0 by Crystal Palace in the earlier kick off. Tonbridge seemed to put in a good shift, so onwards and upwards I say!

I have already signed up to 180's forum, znd thank Rick for taking it on. Fans also need to look a bit deeper into his forum because he has a lot of facts, figures and records going back over the seasons, making fir interesting reading. So guys, don't hold back on registering with the new forum.

Gaz has done a brilliant job for the past 2 decades and has certainly been responsible for me being able to keep in contact with the club and many supporters over the years, especially as the reality is I can't get to as many games I would love to see. And age now also begins to play its part, and not withstanding covid too, or the cost of travel and interruptions.

See you over on the new forum.

Capricorn, your post crossed with mine as I was writing, but Spot On with your comments, which is why fans are allowed to make honest comments and opinions, without being vilified. From a distance, I have been totally impressed by SK's assessments of games, and if fans express similar thoughts and criticisms as the manager, then it shows we are on the right lines.

It is disappointing and indeed disrespectful to Gary that this forum should end with a pathetic my dad's bigger than your dad type of argument. I bet anyone from another club reading this must be having a good laugh at our expense. Gary should be ready for his lap of honour soaking up and acknowledging the applause from the admiring and grateful crowd. Then 180 should emerge from the tunnel turn to all corners and accept all the good wishes for his time in charge. Let's call a halt and let Gary bow out in peace and quiet with my and I'm sure many others gratitude for all he has done, and doubtless will continue to do for DFC. Thanks very much Gary.
I haven't decided about joining the new forum or not. The way this forum has ended means I am a free agent and indeed the forums of Welling and Maidstone are all already making tentative offers. Ebbsfleet require everyone to register and then log on every visit, I can't be doing with that I'm free to air. Good luck everyone, especially to 180, it will be interesting to see how the new forum goes, well I hope.

Spot on Llamaman - thanks again to Gary for a splendid innings. Good luck to 180 - I've registered but won't be staying if the personal insults continue - particularly the accusations of disloyalty to DFC because opinions differ.
