RIP Malcolm Eames
Re: RIP Malcolm Eames
This bloody virus has meant that we haven’t seen many supporters for so long now and it’s only when you read sad news like this that you realise some of these long serving supporters won’t ever be back. Love the stories from the 5th. God bless you, Malcolm. Let’s hope the boys can give us a bloody good season as a suitable tribute to the many Dartford fans that have passed on in last 18 months or so.

Re: RIP Malcolm Eames
So sorry to hear of this news of Malcolm R.I.P.
I have probably known Malcolm longer than most of the long time supporters because I first came across him when we both passed our 11plus and not wanting to play rugby at Dartford Grammar we both chose Dartford Tech in Wilmington for football.
In our first two years we both played football for the school and also our East House team with Malcolm in the centre forward position and me on the right wing.
We started off in the A stream at school 1A but in the years that followed I quickly went to 2B 3C 4C and left school at 15 for an apprenticeship but Malcolm stayed in the A stream right through to the sixth form and was a prefect and eventually head boy and to echo The Dukes comment
I lost touch after school days and it came as a surprise when I walked into the bar at the ground years later and Mickey Austin said I have got someone who wants to see you and there was Malcolm sitting there a glass of beer in his hand and instant recognition between us.
Thanks also to the 5th Searcher who's comments

I to remember these incidents magic moments which sum up the character a good Darts fan who will be missed not only for his support and I'm sure now watching from above but also for the takings over the bar unless he knows away around that as wellTwo things I will never forget about Malcolm both happened at away games and that was when he helped stretcher a player off the pitch only to drop the stretcher with the injured player still on it.
The other was when he offered Pork Pies round the bar at Wingate & Finchley FC who happened to be a Jewish club

Knew him for years and I echo all the other comments. Real character who lived life to the fullest. RIP Malcolm...

Didn't really know Malcolm but what I did know of him was that he always seemed to be a jolly character.
Love the 'Pork Pie' tale, seems to fit just right with him.
RIP Malcolm.

Very sad news, I have just told my parents of Malcolm's passing and they remember him and his sister very well. His sister ended up moving to Laddingford, which was the next village along from Yalding, which is where I moved to. Sincere condolences to his family and friends from the Young & Aldous family.
Re: RIP Malcolm Eames
Wasn’t it Malcolm who slipped down the bank at Alfreton too?
My apologies if it wasn’t..
Real cracking character, Flying Boat mainstay and Paper Moon before that. Had a ‘Waldorf & Statler’ type curmudgeonly way. Total hoot and good egg all round, he’ll leaves a big hole in both the DFC and local community.
RIP Malc

Very sad news to read, we always said hello when our paths crossed following DFC, a lively character who will be missed by many.
