RIP Malcolm Eames

Post by Gary C »

I have just had the sad phone call from Mick Austin, informing me that Malcolm has passed away. When I hear of more information regarding funerals etc, I will let you know.

Here he is in "happier" times:

Malcolm Eames

I have the unfortunate task to pass on the sad news that Malcom has passed away .
He has been unwell for a while and not been to games for a couple of years . The longer attending supporters will probably know him mostly and also know his daughter Jodie .

He knew my mum as a teen and always used to tease me that he might have been my dad . That was Malcolm , certainly liked a laugh .

Oh no so sad, Malcolm was always a character both on the terraces & in the bars home and away and you would always hear him before you saw him especially with that laugh of his.
You hardly ever saw Malcolm without a smile on his face or laughing and he always had time for a chat but you could always guarantee to see him with a pint in his hand.

Two things I will never forget about Malcolm both happened at away games and that was when he helped stretcher a player off the pitch only to drop the stretcher with the injured player still on it.
The other was when he offered Pork Pies round the bar at Wingate & Finchley FC who happened to be a Jewish club 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤣🤣.

My thoughts go out to his family & friends.

RIP Malcolm, god bless mate.

Such sad news. Even though Malcolm had not been to games for a couple of years. He always asked for results and how we were playing when our paths crossed in the Flying Boat

I echo all other posters as he really was a character and great fun to be around and had many laughs [ incl the 2 unforgettable ones that the 5th Searchers has mentioned !!] , a real Darts fan and actually a clever bloke , very sad news !!!
