Well, this one started a whizz didn't it?
Up the Dart's. Hope to come home with a win, as Oxford started the season fast out of the traps and have now faded.
Let's hope they fade a bit more tomorrow.

Recent talk of several players who simply aren’t good enough. However, it is quite possible to build a line-up from our list of mainstay and loan players which should be a decent match for anyone in this league. I’d go with:
Ibrahim, Yao, Bonner, Vint, Onyemah, Greenhalgh, Noble, Bradbrook, Murphy, Ba, Sheringham. Basically the same bunch I nominated for last week (Ba / Philpot interchangable). I’m sure some will clamour for Wynter ahead of Vint, but I’m not so sure. Also, I found it harsh that Murphy remained on the bench last week after getting the creaking gears turning late doors at Uckfield. Genuinely feel that this is our best known starting XI, which really speaks volumes about many of the summer signings. Oyenuga and DSY have been very disappointing with Isaac and Philpot not far behind. At least Jamie has saved the day twice (never mind the offside winner last week). Chances are Coker will start ahead of Murphy. Let’s hope for 100% from whoever is in the DFC shirt today. If we’re in the hat for Monday’s draw, I’m happy.

The new management team don't appear to like Vint and I can't see how Wynter can get in front of him, to me this is baffling. If they wan't to look at the back four they need to address the real problem...the fullbacks. At least Sheringham is back and the signing of Coker should provide a genuine threat from the wing as well as an eye for goal.

I fear you are right Jonty! Why would they otherwise bring in a player on loan who is a direct replacement? At the start of the season I thought we might have difficulty keeping Ronnie, now he can't get a start!!

Maybe having taken Wynter on a month's loan JC and AF feel they've got to play him ahead of Ronnie to "get their money's worth".

Personally, I think he is our best central defender. Yes, he takes chances bringing the ball out of defense but don't most modern day defenders. He is far too good to be sat on the bench and I can see him wanting out, just a shame as he is home grown. When you look at the new players that have come in I would say that they are soft signing's, where the manager has gone back to a former club rather than cast the net out. Oh well.
