Sorry to have to report that I heard on Saturday that Dave passed away last week, only hours after picking up his season ticket.
Dave was a long time supporter of the Club, supporting all the sides including the Youth team which was where I really got to know him about 20+ years ago. He joined in our poker school when we first moved in to PP and very much enjoyed the camaraderie and fun we had whilst all learning how to play.
Condolences to all of his friends and family, he will be missed.
RIP Dave Eden (Charlieboy)

Oh no, sorry to hear this, shared many a conversation and like you Gary, enjoyed our Poker nights with Dave, ‘It’s the hooks baby’ Eden.

Really shocked by that sad news.
I knew Dave well from our school days at The Downs. Although we lost touch over the years when I moved away from the area, it was always good to catch up when we met at DFC matches.

I got to know Dave quite well when in my last year of working I skipped Weds afternoons to watch the Academy lads at PP and had plenty of banter with him and his mate John Hovard , over the recent years used to " bump into him " at PP on match days , a real nice guy and really sad news

Rest In Peace Sir
Re: RIP Dave Eden (Charlieboy)
Best known for his VHS videos from Watling Street in the late 80s, early 90s. Before he passed away, he sent me a private message, giving me his blessing to upload some of his old footage, which I will over time. God bless you Dave, sincere condolences to friends and family.
