First half better team, 2nd half was 2nd best. 2 goals in added time made it a great day! Won't say too much about individuals as folks on here get menstrual. Jebb fancy Dan we have better! Dan f****** Roberts. Must start next week

Wow, what a start to my 61st season (a Johnny come lately compared to some though, eh Mickey in shocking pink!).

Having not come down for the friendlies, I was hoping the positive vibes and anticipation on here could be justified - and how. Lively attacking play in the first half, with Danny Leonard a constant danger on the right with many good crosses, including his, I think, for Ade's goal, and Meade overlapping on the left. Ade looking lively too, but Jake slightly off with a couple of good heading chances, one glancing effort not quite connecting and another bouncing up onto the crossbar. With Noor firing wide when well placed, would it be one of those days until the goal just on halftime? Cue pandemonium from the rousing noisy support behind the goal.

Second half quieter and rather scrappy relying on occasional breakaways. After the equaliser, we were a bit nervy at times and was thinking both sides may be holding out for a point each until a great Jebb cross for super-sub to nod in, followed by a confident strike deep into injury time. Great to be back; roll on next week for a large crowd and putting Slough to the slaughter!

Not a fan of pink shirts, but they made the team very visible and the black numbers showing well, so thumbs up now.

What a day that was , fantastic win against one of the teams that will be challenging for promotion. Fully deserved our lead in the first half after Ade headed in just before the break .
St. Albans came out and went for us in the second half and got the equaliser. From then on they put us under a lot of pressure and seemed to be winning the midfield battle .
Our second came from a corner , hill flicked the ball on and Roberts headed home .
It was soon 3 after a break away goal , Roberts again this time slotting the ball through keepers legs .

A word of thanks for the Darts fans ( & Carol the photographer) who came to my support when the stupid bint women steward who was screaming like a banshee and telling people to F*** off decided she was going to try and throw me out . A few people jumped the barrier after the second goal and i just happened to be in the near vacinity !!

Also why do they not take any notes apart from £5.00 ? Bloody ridiculous when it was hot and Harry could not buy a drink as they did not except £10 notes or over !!!

Enjoy the goals

What a day. A great performance against one of the front runners based on previous seasons. Loved today so so much. Got to mention that Steve King recruited these players. Yes tell your friends what your witnessing. Kingy and his lads are wonderful they truly are. Not a gimme, one game in, in a long hard season, but.... but... but

Firstly , support was fantastic today , did the team proud. I was really impressed with all the younger fans who made their own way up , though one or two (like myself) are prone to a bit of over excitement!!Team we’re superb first half , bossed things and we could of been four up, second half I felt they were better team and could of won but two lovely late goals sealed a excellent win. Negatives tho were the unfriendly staff and the pathetic contactless system. We stood as neutrals were turned away from turnstiles as had no ticket! Then twenty yards away they were selling golden goal or raffle by cash! One or the other surely ! The young bloke behind the bar had a face for a funeral every time he had to serve and we couldn’t have half a shandy as had no lemonade! The idea of sticking a poor young lad behind a goal on his own with not a steward in sight is ridiculous, as was the security for the whole match. The real ale hut was excellent so was the wrap food hut, a brilliant idea and the lady serving a real treasure, can we employ her and her wrap hut? All in all great day , thank you to all who organised the coach and making it a great day
