Grenada were on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat to Honduras. Jacob started the match and was substituted after 72 minutes. Grenada also featured ex Dart Tyrone Sterling who played the whole match as well as a smattering of other players who ply their trade at such clubs as Billericay, Boreham Wood, Barnet, Shrewsbury Town, Leyton Orient, Ross County and Real Sociedad!.
Grenada's next game is against Panama on Sunday before they play Qatar next Tuesday. How Qatar have managed to get into the North & Central America Gold Cup is anyone's guess!.
Re: Dartford Players of The Past
Qatar are in the Gold Cup partly due to an agreement between CONCAF & Asian football unions. Or maybe more due to Qatar Airlines generous sponsorship of the competition. Qatar are trying to gain as much competitive match experience before holding next years World Cup in the hope of giving a good account of themselves on the pitch in the competition.

Tom Wynter has followed Nathan Collier's lead and decided to retire from playing.

Or maybe Llamaman it was from the funds used in charging £40,000 a ticket on Qatar Airlines on getting people home from around the world when the world went into Lockdown. That's me being cynical. Of course I took them up straight away when being in Wellington at the time.

Not a player, but a fan of the past…
My mother was taken into Margate hospital this week. I went straight down to visit and the first person to greet me in the entrance to QEQM general was a short lady with blonde hair - perhaps just a sexagenarian - who immediately said “I recognise that coat!”
After a bit of banter about DFC and her favourite player profession of Lee Burns, it transpired that Wendy and I had basically exchanged Thanet for Dartford and vice versa. Her partner’s brother had even lived in Gordon Road - as had I up until last year. It was quite a coincidence and put an interesting and uplifting twist on an otherwise fraught situation!
Does Wendy ring a bell with anyone on here? She used to be a season ticket holder and came to the curtain-raiser at PP in 2006. I’m a bit surprised I didn’t recognise her.
