Out of all the players gone so far I'm only disappointed about Billy, showed a lot of promise.
I can't understand why he wasn't given a run at right back and loan players are definitely not the long term answer.
I'm a bit surprised that this early in the season we've so many loan players, don't like the loan system and it would be good if we could get some decent signings in.

Re: Retained List 2018/19 & New Signings
The squad looks a lot smaller without Roast - a disappointing move. We didn't see too much of Ighorae and Mensah. Shame that the new recruits are loanees Yao (Charlton) and Wynter (Maidstone). Not sure what position these guys are apart from defenders ?

Suppose it keeps the programme editor busy with all these coming and goings, hopefully we will end the season with more points than the number of players we have used.

I suppose with the way Flanagan and Coyle existed at their previous clubs is it any wonder we have players coming in just in time to say goodbye.
We did say it would be an interesting season. But every time I come up I'm asking 'who's that?'.
I will be there today, once I've parked the car.

Re: Retained List 2018/19 & New Signings
I share Duke's view that a squad can not be developed around players signed on short-term loan deals. However, I am equally concerned by the players signed on a "permanent" basis. Of the ten players introduced to the club by the current management team, three have since departed (Roast, Ighorae, Mensah), four have fallen short of the standard their past records might lead one to expect (Oyenuga, Sam-Yorke, Philpot and Isaac), one is currently injured, but has not really lived up to the description "best right back in the League" (Driver). That leaves us with Sheringham and Greenhalgh!

No, no-one has heard this... In fact no-one has even heard of a Ryan Hayes or how one unblocks a drain with it.
Re: Retained List 2018/19 & New Signings
There is talk of things not being " hunky dory " with Hayes at Concord and he has recently NOT made the starting 11 and today didnt even make the subs bench , maybe he was injured ??
He didnt start many games for the Darts at end of last season which suggested he wasnt in great form and under normal circumstances I wouldnt even consider him returning to the Darts BUT based on what I have seen this season even I would say "welcome back Ryno " !!!!
