Ni surprise at this decision. Those that wish to be proactive and return to a sense of normality being prevented from doing so by the rule makers. Merely a reflection of wider life right now.
I am not sure that we can all just start again in August as though nothing has happened. I assume that there will need to be major changes in the management structure of the league and also in the wording of the constitution, which clearly is not democratic. Perhaps it is time for some clubs to consider if they really want to be this far up the pyramid together with clubs that have clear ambitions.
With only four months to sort out the mess, the powers that be need to act quickly.
Roll on the cricket season.

Re: National League North and South season declared null and void
Hopefully there will now be no relegation from the EFL. The NL have been digging a hole for themselves right from the off.
With the prospect of nothing to play for project FARCE is almost complete.
Fingers crossed the wheels are really coming off now and the air bag will finally explode in the faces of the biggest self-servers.

The powers that be are rather ‘Comfortably numb’ though Mr G !!
They wont want anyone rocking their boat & will be more than happy to continue with their Old pals act/u scratch my back style of league management !!

It has just been reported on BT Sport that the EFL will not be relegating this year (therefore no promotion from the NL); because the NL won't be relegating clubs.
The NL "big" clubs have now got exactly what they deserved after dumping on the NLS and NLN clubs this season!

This is what i thought all along, the biased voting system has come back to bite them on the ****
They greedily took more than their fair share of the government cash and now like the rest of us it has been a total waste of time and money.
I have absolutely no sympathy for them whatsoever, they had total disregard for the teams in the NLS and NLN as they believed it would all be to their own benefit. As for the NL board.........
Serves them bloody right, i wonder what they will do now as there's absolutely no point in playing on

Well done to the National League board!! That is the worst possible outcome for the league following their latest decision. It was a very foreseeable option that the EFL would not relegate any club from their own league or accept any promotion from the National League if the NL took the decision to not to relegate/promote teams to/from the NLS/NLN divisions.
Even further embarrassment now heaped on to the National board. How could they not see the repercussions of their decision? What do the National League teams do now? Still play their outstanding matches unnecessarily or stop playing now there is no promotion to the EFL? What a lot of lost goodwill, and what will Vanarama themselves think of the situation, because they have been superb ambassadors for the non league game with their sponsorship in recent seasons. Just hope they continue to support the league with any newly formed board which may be in place, because surely, some heads must now role.
Feel very sorry for all those club officials, and who have put so much time, effort and money into pursuing a sensible solution for ALL clubs, whether they wanted to continue playing or not playing out the season.

To be honest there is no point in the NL continuing with no promotion or relegation and no fans watching or perhaps they will now see the light and bring in relegation from the NL and then we can continue restart at our levelPeteSamson wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 11:36 pm Well done to the National League board!! The irony of our season coming to a close by virtue of those voting to continue theirs now crushingly apparent!
