National League North & South suspended for two weeks
Re: National League North & South suspended for two weeks
Reading the article today on Kentish Football where Dulwich Hamlet spell out the situation regarding loans and grants may explain why some clubs have serious concerns about the immediate and longterm future. The details, the timeline of events and the changes to the original deal make very interesting reading.

A very interesting read and again imo does not reflect well on the NL.Llamaman wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 10:29 am Reading the article today on Kentish Football where Dulwich Hamlet spell out the situation regarding loans and grants may explain why some clubs have serious concerns about the immediate and longterm future. An online petition has been setup to campaign for help for National League Clubs.
Might be worth all and sundry to help by signing

Signed the petition. Look's like a bit of a Wokes' platform. They will prompt you for a £5 donation as well as for loads of other petitions. "Save the Earwig" and "Say No To Mountain Goats", that kind of thing.
But if it helps the cause then I have supported the National League one.
I will no doubt be bombarded with loads of other causes to protest against, on top of the 10 I initially recieved upon signing.
Atleast there is a link somewhere enabling you to unsubscribe.

I signed it too, but no need to donate or share with others (don't use Facebook, Twitter etc anyway), and no harm in trying. Follow up email plea for more help binned.
528 signatories after I came out, from initial target of 1000.

Are the fixtures going ahead on Saturday ? Do we have a game to play or has the suspension been extended ?
I can't seem to find an answer amongst all the voting, resolution and general noise coming from the league currently.

Re: National League North & South suspended for two weeks
So what happens if they end the season, I believe clubs should look at the supporters who some would have paid for season tickets and if they paid on credit card would have took out a loan to help clubs out before the season started, will this be paid back ? If not that two season they have finished the season early and no money paid back, Im sure people will think twice about doing for a third season?
I dont just mean Dartford as i believe they want to continue but the other clubs who want to end season who are at the wrong end of the table, (excluding Welling of course that is a strange one),
Plus some clubs are playing friendlies would it not have been better to continue to play league games they still got to pay the players and i believe test players the same as a legue game so still spending this money infact have payed extra if the league continues.

Re: National League North & South suspended for two weeks
I have just been reading the statement issued by the National League put up on the Hungerford site saying that they have distributed resolutions to clubs to consider the outcome of the 1920/21 season.
Four resolutions to be voted on.
What surprises me is that it says that under the NL Articles of Association, member clubs have 28 days to return voting submissions. So there is no chance of any early decision being taken, which leaves clubs in even an more muddled position, and a possible waste of another wasted 4 weeks of opportunities to play games. I still remain confused.
Just as a comment in response to JCJ and season ticket holders and refunds. My own personal point of view is what I have paid to the club for my season ticket, donation to the earlier fundraising initiative and kit sponsorship will remain with the club as my contribution to the club in these difficult and strange times. And in fairness to the club, they have made every effort through DFCTV to give us streaming for the games played to date. So I am not feeling short changed.
As an aside, I don't know how many fans are aware that when Marine played Spurs a week ago, they sold over 32000 eTickets at £10 a pop to raise over £300k. They well deserved it and I bought 2 tickets, as it was the neck of the woods that my Grandfather and family were brought up, so I was delighted to make a contribution to Marine in recognition of FA Cup progress this season.
