Welling Utd (h) -Sat 6th Feb

Post by TonyH »

Big question is - will we be playing on Saturday?
My view is that the National League will EXPECT clubs in the north and south divisions to resume their fixtures. The suspension of fixtures was for 2 weeks only. I anticipate some clubs will refuse to play and face League sanctions.

Sadly i think you will be proven right and the season will be halted with no promotion or relegation for NLS and NLN teams
There will be in my opinion just a straight swap with the champions of the National league swapping places with the club that finishes bottom of league 2.

Erm, no Happy Chappy, my view is that the season will be played out. To my knowledge there have been no changes made by the National League to its competition rules and those that don’t play will have the book thrown at them.

I heard yesterday that Welling have appointed Steve Lovell as their new manager, he won’t come cheap.

Brought a few new players in too. I believe tomorrow’s game will be his first in charge, just to add to the spice of the game.
