On the Chelmsford City forum some wonderful photos of their old ground. Their fans of a certain age and above miss their former spiritual home as much as Darts fans miss theirs. Even more perhaps as we have a fine new ground while they are playing at a place which they refer to as the gulag.
An interesting series of posts well worth spending a few minutes over. What I picked on most were the memories of the peanut selleR nearly every ground would find a peanut seller(s) in years gone by, I wonder when that favourite football snack of years ago fell out of favour. There is also a topic about Charlie's return to the Darts, much regretted but but realistically accepted.

The down side of this was each person that bought a bag was surrounded on the floor with all of the opened shells and this was left for the away fans when they moved in for the second half.
I can certainly remember the peanut seller at Watling Street and the chap coming through the covered standing area with his huge wicker basket selling Percy Daltons peanuts in paper bags during the first half. What I picked on most were the memories of the peanut seller
