Top of the league, home win and a clean sheet.

Could have easily been a very big win such was the dominance, the longer we went without scoring the more nervous it became. Hopefully we can start converting some of those chances in future games.

It takes two teams to make a good game and only one wanted to play football, tonbridge are the most negative side I have seen all season. Think it’s was ten corners to nil, 15 shots on goal to one!! (I maybe wrong), saying that so frustrating not being able to beat first man from crosses and corners! Ghoulie man of match, not a great game but really good commentary!

Our points average of 2.0714 is the third best of the sixty-six National League clubs behind Torquay and St Albans. I think it would be better for our nerves if the victories were more convincing, but we are clearly doing just fine.

We’re going through a spell where there are areas we really need to do better, ie take our chances. It’s becoming a worry as it may cost us dearly at the end.
Yet we’re top of the league, what happens when we click?

3pts in the bag and a 1-0 win but we certainly make hard work for ourselves.
Why oh why can’t we seem to beat the first man with our crosses & corners, with the amount of quality and experience we have in this squad I am so disappointed with the lack of decent crosses in to the box especially from our over lapping fullbacks.
Thankfully we are back on top of the table but I fear that unless we start scoring a few more goals then our goal difference will be the big problem for us again and could be costly come the end of the season. I’d hate to have another situation the same as we had a few years ago and possibly miss out on the league title due to goal difference.

There really seems to be a lack of quality balls being supplied from midfield to the forwards at present, it doesn’t seem to matter who is playing.

I really do hope that things can drop in to place on Saturday away to bottom placed Braintree and we can bag a hat full of goals to give the boys especially the strikers a bit of confidence but the most important thing is picking up the 3pts and remaining top of the table.

As for Tonbridge I couldn’t believe just how poor they was, hardly causing any threat at all.
