Zippo’s Circus v Darts (Sat 3pm)

Post by spike »

Fantastic team, quality players, but sadly they are now the biggest joke in football.

Nevertheless, until they inevitably implode and the club disintegrates into the financial chaos it so richly deserves, the mercenaries that they have recruited will surely be extremely hard to beat.

This will be an incredibly tough game for us and they will start as massive favourites ... as they probably will right up until the day they go supernova.

It’s been a few years since we last went to Billericay. Pretty sure we lost 1-0 that night. I have it in my head that the fans will be segregated. Darts away form isn’t good, scoring just twice in the curtain-raiser at Bath - the only away game we haven’t lost. I won’t speculate on the squad since there have been quite a few changes (T-Bon’s haircut being one) since the last game I watched, which was the frankly woeful 0-3 home loss to Wealdstone. Would have been looking forward to seeing Sheringham back in a DFC shirt, but he’ll be serving a suspension for last Saturday’s ridiculous sending off.

Was that where we saw Noble score a great goal against us once and then we signed him ?

It was Brentwood , he was uprooted by a disgraceful tackle from Jay May and whilst it was kicking of when May got sent of , Noble was doing " kicky ups" as though nothing much had happened , probably only 18 then but stood out !!!!!!!

While we're on the subject of Nobes, can i ask why being in his 11th year at the Darts now he hasn't even had a mention of a Testimonial of any sort yet??
Hayesy seemed to have a year long one for his 10 x year service a couple of seasons back??
