BRADBROOK 2-2
Re: Darts V Eastbourne - Sat 8th Sep.
Normally I would have been disapointed with a 2 - 2 draw at home to Eastbourne but after the events of this afternoon it turned out to be a very good point . I thought there was some good performnaces out there today (And one Fuc*ing awful one from the clueless twat in charge) but we still seem to lack the bit of creativaty in open play to carve out chances for the strikers.

Better all round performance today at least we knew were the net was,all the new players put in a decent shift and when they play together more the understanding will get better. The sending off was a complete joke the ref played on then decided it was a foul and produced a second yellow card which just about summed up his abject performance.Still gaveMOTM to Charlie despite his sending off run the whole time he was on and won everything in the air.

I miss Ryan ....not one of our new signings is better than him and that is why we will struggle this season lots of huff and puff from many today but no end result ....sad times when we celebrate a draw against Eastbourne ...yes let me say it again Eastbourne.
Why vint on the bench ...bonner had a nightmare without him ....so disappointed leaving today we have gone so backwards best we can hope for is mid table ....I wanted change and wanted TB to step a side now I feel we all put pressure on him and I now regret it.

I was too far away from the incident to see what happened. The referee did seem to allow play to go on and to stop the game only because there was a head injury, not for a foul. I was too bemused to really notice whether he re-started play with a free kick. Could someone nearer the action clarify whether Charlie was booked for a foul or for arguing. If Elliot was also booked it presumably was for the latter.

I think we are a decent side and after going to all of the home games so far, my main gripe is that I think we would do much better playing 4-4-2. Maybe the Burman years have ingrained this in me, but I don't think the current system is working. I still don't understand it - the system is definitely a back four but as far as midfield and attack goes we seem to alternate from 4-3-3 to to 4-2-4 - maybe dependent on possession or summat, I'm not sure?
We actually played a 3-3-3 after Sherringham was dismissed and we seemed to do well with that!. Ba looks like a good player. Knowles looks very raw and is clearly learning his trade but I think he could be a good player in a season or so - however, that probably won't be for Dartford.
Finally - I think we were very unsporting today - Sherringham and Bradbrook should have never remonstrated with the ref after an opponent had a head injury. Three medical staff came onto the park to treat the guy so it was definitely serious. Why Ibrahim felt the need to come way down field to gob off to the referee about the incident I will never know!

Will be interesting to see the playback of the incident that caused the head injury to see if there was malice (I doubt) or just accidental collision - there really didn't seem to be anything in it. As for the players remonstrating with the Ref I was surprised many Darts players got near him with the sea of red. I can understand the Darts frustration though given the decisions given (or rather not given by the Ref) his overall handling was poor at best.
As for the Darts' performance - better and some good play. Biggest disappointment was Dave Martin's 'gamesmanship' with Chez and also the nonsensical was he threw the ball over the fence. Poor from him.
