Bath City (Home) 17th Oct 2020
Put this Saturdays game up to open the discussion. Matchday 3. 2 games down and a very good return of 4 points from 6 against tough opponents. Well is doesn't get any easier Bath this week followed by In some order of Havant Dorking and Maidstone. Wow that National League South Fixture algorithm had it in for us. I for one am a little disappointed in the few who seem to be moaning already on the fact that we haven't got 6 points and a plus 10 goal difference so far. But then I read the positives from others who fully understand just how well it is going. For me I look forward to Jack Jebb returning as I genuinely believe the 3 of them in the middle compliment each other. On to Saturday. Tough again without fans as whilst its the same for all teams I really do believe that the DFC fans help the players and such is the class of guys we have they go up a gear. So let's get together and support particularly on this platform as players may well read the forum posts. This is a tough tough league we all know that but I for one believe we are up there with a chance of being in the mix for the season

Well it's a home game so 3 points is the target, I firmly believe, after a bit of thought, that we DO need a squad of 22 as the injuries etc have already been there, so we can cover all the bases. Whether SK can keep them all happy is another question! No major complaints from me so far and the major plus is 2 clean sheets, that's always a good basis to kick on. We have not looked potent up front yet though but after only 2 games I for one cutting a load of slack as the opposition are no slouches.
So we welcome Bath, who have always been a big club with a decent stadium and they will be stern opposition, I am buoyed by the return of Barham who looks nippy (and he is not 100% match fit yet), Marsh Brown should play as he is pacy and tricky. Then we look to the other side and Modeste is the man for me, intelligent, skips through challenges and wins a lot of free kicks. Midfield is the important area that we need consistency in and we have an abundance of talent in there if all fit - JBA must be first on the sheet, and I believe Ijaha (when 100%) should play which leaves Husin/jebb fighting it out (and the others)
We are in a good position, possess the squad and should be rightly confident after losing out on promotion in a penalty shoot out. No fans is massive and we can only hope that the players adapt to that, they should all know that we are 100% behind them and there in spirit.
Looking forward to a trouble free streaming after the Chelmsford debacle.
Simply - COME ON YOU DARTS!!!

Not many posts on the game Saturday, maybe because fans cannot attend
Anyway looking forward to this on a trouble free live stream
Hard to try and pick a team for this game as we have so many class players at this level,
Ijaha i thought had a decent game on Monday, would like him to start but at the expense of who Im not sure, Also Luke Allen played well and if signed up maybe worth throwing in, but would like to see Elliott, Charlie or Jack to start hitting the back of the net.

Is there a link to the stream, or do we just use the Chelmsford one??

Sorry if this sounds slightly sarcastic, but I am really looking forward to Saturday as the games come thick and fast and we enter our fourth competitive training game of the season already.
Not exactly live theatre for us long suffering fans.
Shame Andrew Lloyd Webber didn't become a director of football.
I'm sure we would then atleast be able to enjoy the same privileges as those currently supporting clubs at step 3 and below.

I think Bath City will be a lot sterner test for us contrary to peoples views of the Chelmsford/Hampton&R's performances against us. But we will come through it if we get an act together. Defense is sound, let's hope Conor Essam doesn't rule the roost as top scorer for too long. Do friendlies count? If not I hope KMB get's some more.
I'll go for a close and maybe ugly win. Nice to see otherwise. Looking forward to it.

Maybe we should play Essam as a striker.

Delighted that the club have changed the suppliers of the streaming "service". Fingers crossed this will be a lot better and we will actually be able to concentrate on watching the match. I'm looking forward to it.
