Ijaha was on the teamsheet posted on the Twitter feed - as No 8.Reginald Horsfield wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 11:39 amFairly certain I watch David Ijaha playing last night Duke. What a lovely lovely footballer Luke Allen is. Elegant, intelligent, and he possesses the ability for defence splitting passes. Im praying that we sign him for the season. It would be a travesty if we lose a talent like this.the duke wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 11:33 am Enjoyed be able to watch live football again , plenty of space to social distance [ easily replicated at PP ] useful work out for the Darts with class showing especially in 2nd half although letting in 2 first half goals will not have pleased Kingy !!!
No sign of Mitchell or Ijaha , injured or maybe moving on to allow funds for bringing in a another proven quality striker , do we really need 22 players in the squad ???
I guess I will watch the Darts streamed games but tempted to go and watch local [ lower level] live football as its much more fun !!!!!

Have to agree with Reg, it would be great to have Luke Allen back on board. No disrespect to our current midfielders but he offers something different, from a creative and direct perspective. He is certainly my favourite midfielder from the past couple of seasons and he always poses a goal threat.
Also have to agree with Duke, do we really need 22 players, maybe a few could go on dual registration in order to bring in another forward if things don't improve in that department. Still, plenty of time for the team to improve and gel.

I've got a liking for his ability, that I last had for Aidan O'Sullivan.Jonty wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 12:50 pm Have to agree with Reg, it would be great to have Luke Allen back on board. Given that AO'S last played for us about 35 (?) years go there's a lot to think about - I'll be back to you (hopefully before the end of the year!).

We'll see and I'll enjoy having a think and checking out THE book

Right, I've had a think and whilst I couldn't say who was the best I would be happy for any of these guys to play alongside or instead of AO'S -
Andy Hessenthaler, Elliott Bradbrook, Jamie Day, Tom Champion and Ebou Adams.
Looking back I think we have had many many years in which midfielders of the quality of this lot have been conspicuous by their absence.
I'm sure that someone will come up with a player I've missed or forgotten.
