So the rumour on Kent Non League podcast, that, should Macclesfield lose their appeal and be relegated, the National Premier would not accept them and they would face a double drop into the National North - reprieving Ebbsfleet in the process - holds no water then. It was stressed on the show that this was merely a rumour and ‘Fleet fans ought not to get excited.
