All I know is that we have played 7 games and scored 5 goa!s.
Of our recognised strikers only DSY has scored and that was a penalty.
I am pleased that we won but imho our strikers have been a disapointment
So far.
On a positive note thank heavens that Noble and Bradders are back
Darts v East Thurrock
Re: Darts v East Thurrock
Obviously I am pleased we got the 3pts today and at least ALL of the team put in a good shift , I still think that we are papering over some of the [ obvious] cracks and much work is needed !!
My MOTM , Lee Noble just ahead of Ben Greenhalgh
Just a few points I just dont understand :
WHY do we give the ball away at least 50% of the time as all this does is then put the pressure back onto us ?
WHY does 1 of our main two strikers go short for throw ins and then when the ball is crossed into the penalty area they are nowhere to be seen which leaves us with one solitary striker to score ?
WHY do Bonner and Vint on many occasions play the ball square or back to Deren to lump it 70 yards where the Oppos defenders have an 80% chance of winning the ball , Noble , Bradbrook and Greenhalgh are experienced midfield players and should be fed by the back four ?
Adam threatened changes in his recent interview and even after today thats got to happen [ soon] , is the rumour of a proven quality striker actually fiction , perhaps my friend can have a word with the Man upstairs !!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Darts v East Thurrock
a win is a good result but second half we seemed to struggle ,its a bit worrying that we only have the determination when bradders and noble are playing.
i gave my m.o.t.m. to deren who made a fine penalty save that kept it at 1-0 which led us to the victory

I also heard a rumour that a quality strikers agent was at PP recently.

Re: Darts v East Thurrock
Back from holiday for yesterdays game and very pleased to see the lads fight for 3 points , but what worries me IMO is we look less skillful that last year , we give the ball away very easily and our forwards are to be fair Ryman League quality.
IMO only Ibrahim , Vint , Bonner , Bradders , Noble and Ben G belong in this league , a worry going forward but happy for 3 points yesterday.
Hopefully we will shuffle the pack otherwise playoffs will be out of our reach.

Glad we got the win, but still do not look like play off material our players seem scared to have a shot at goal maybe it a confidence thing but the amount of times players got into a shooting position and they passed it back and the chance had gone.
We need a quality striker and quick if we are to make some sort of challenge for play-offs, we looked nervous second half but maybe a couple more wins and confidence will come back

I'll take the win. Following this on twitter it sounded less than convincing but if you think about where we would be now if we had lost, it's important we are back on the winning track. Maybe that Will give us a bit of extra confidence up at St Albans on saturday. But it sounds as if we nned to shuffle the squad as some of the signings simple aren't fit for purpose.

I didn't go to the game so I can't comment. But let's not get too down on the lads as after recent performances they did well to get the win, albeit against a lowly club who are obviously struggling and them missing a penalty to.
I should think that the lads only have to look on here to see what the club means to us supporters and that they needed to do something and quick. Nice to see Nobes back in the side, his game is obviously taking it's toll on him as he sometimes runs around at full pelt.
There are issue's with the present squad, we know it, as does the management. But look around, We are worried about our non-scoring exploits, I'd sooner be a Dart with new management and pretty well a new squad than promotion favourites Torquay United with only 3 goals in seven games.
We haven't really given it time and already there are moans on here and quite rightly so. I did think that we are a middle of the table team having seen three games at home two of which were dire. But there is plenty of time and time enough for the Division to sort itself out. Who'd have thought Wealdstone would go down 3-0 at Oxford City? And who'd thought that Tamplin would have got rid of his manager after only 6 games? (Well actually, quite a few).
Plenty to do against St Albans and a few others yet. Unfortunately my next game will be at home to WSM. Can't wait.

Good to see the genuine Darts fans giving Lee Burns and Danny Harris a round of applause which they both acknowledged , great guys who always gave 100% for the Darts and wish them well
