Johnson was a big, square-shouldered defender, similar in stature to Captain Bon. His presence in the box for attacking corners was quite poor, but then I think he was only 21/22 when at PP, so had a good bit of experience yet to gain.

Tom Champion and Alfie Pavey both on winning sides in first two playoffs for Boreham Wood and Barnet. Hopefully a good omen for our weekend!

Well agree Skip. I stuck my neck out to say Alfie would be pivotal to out 18/19 campaign, but didn’t fit with JCAF’s regime. Real shame, the boy looked good.

Charlie MacDonald has joined Jamie Philpot at Gary Alexander’s Glebe. Like Chatham, they are assembling some big names there.
