Re: Darts v East Thurrock
Burns was their best player on Saturday. Konchesky left during his last week. The other former Darts-Harris and Simmons- also played on Saturday.
Re: Darts v East Thurrock
Konchesky left E T last week. Burnsie played yesterday but not Max Cornhill, however a certain Danny Harris did, at fullback.
Kids go for free tomorrow, so if the little dears are playing up threaten to take them to the match tomorrow, they should behave themselves with that terrible threat hanging over their heads.
On to tomorrow with hope, it's about all we have left. Things can change so quickly in football so I'll try to keep positive, although not that easy at present.

I’m hazarding a guess it’s because Thurrock ends in rock? Bit of a mouthful otherwise. Could be completely wrongMatt wrote:I wonder if we will see ex Darts Burnsie, Cornhill and the ex England defender Paul Konchesky tomorrow line up for The Rocks? (anyone know or care why they are 'The Rocks'?)

It will be good to see you Gregg, just hope the team turns up for your visit.El Kebabus of Arabia wrote:Hope to make this one, hard core loyal fans will be there hoping for a better performance and a much needed result. Big pressure on the team and management. Need the experienced players to drive us forward and those new players need to repay the faith put in them to wear the famous shirt.
The team should more or less pick itself after recent performances and I would go with 10 of Parky's 11, not that some of them fill me with any confidence.
Anyway, despite all the recent doom & gloom I will be there in attendance, bringing 3 along with me.
Re: Darts v East Thurrock
It seemed like the end of the world at 5pm yesterday, but 24 hours later and I'm starting to get a grip again. We have only just begun and there is a very long way to go, so it's a clean slate and we start again tomorrow.
Until their 1-0 win over Slough yesterday, East Thurrock had lost their first five games and scored just one solitary goal. That 3 points lifts them 2 places and off the bottom. With 2 goals to their name, they are currently the lowest goal-scoring team in the division, but then we have managed only 3 ourselves. Logic would suggest that the league's two lowest scoring teams are unlikely to produce a goal fest. We just need to find a way to grind out a 1-0 win to take the pressure off Jamie and Adam and give them time to sort things out. I hope Philpott gets another chance up front as I have a feeling this lad will come good once he gets off the mark.
After their victory Thurrock's tails will be up and by contrast, our morale must be pretty low at the moment, but tomorrow is a new day and we simply have to get ourselves up off the floor and get on with the job. As supporters, all we can do is get behind the team and give them all the support we can. If we do that then as long as everyone on the pitch is giving 100%, we'll ALL be doing our bit.
COME ON YOU DARTS

As football does saturdays disappointment has made way for today’s optimism. Can’t get up but would love to see some of our newer players show the same conviction that messrs Burnsy& Danny Harris did for us and maybe we’d be half way to turning things around.
See you at St Albans coyds

Had we gained just 1 win extra we would be in 6th place and all this doom and gloom would not be being written. Dies anyone know if the red arrows will be coming today ?
