Gilsey, I think you'll find that hardly any of the team are on contract as the management don't really believe in contracts, this was brought up and mentioned at the meet the managers Q & A Evening.
At a guess the only ones possibly on a contract are Deren, Bonner, Vint, Noble, Bradders & Pugh, you may even find that some of them aren't either.
Although the players are all signed up they aren't contracted which means we can release if required and they can also request to leave.

[quote="Plan B went well"]You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.

It’s no surprise to me that we are struggling to fashion chances seeing for the last 11 or 12 years creativity has rested on the shoulders of one man; Ryan Hayes. So we let him go, then you have to replace that creativity. I know you can’t replace Ryan, he is certainly one in a million in the non league game but do any of the new players offer any creativity?

Plan b; For Gods sake: The club didn't let Hayes go!! He left of his own accord for a very very good deal at Concord which Dfc couldn't have got anywhere near to matching!! Let it go, let's all try & move on!!

Gilesy I take exception to this one as it appears like a pop at me for my posting
But for a season ticket I wouldn't be going to Monday's game
You know i have followed Dartford and supported them for the last 65 years and to be honest I have seen worst teams and have on the odd occasion when I haven't had a season ticket in the past have chosen to miss a game as the only means of showing a protest to a teams performance.

Most of those that sit round the table with us Roger John Barry etc have similar years of support and they have voiced similar thoughts to mine with or without season tickets.

I traveled to this game and will continue to go to home or away games as much as possible this season and Shankly's quote doesn't reflect my thoughts or opinions about Dartford so I will disregard it.

I usually leave it to about 8-10 games to comment on new season/players but finding it very difficult after the last few performances.
Will bite my tongue for as long as i can and hope that the next few performances are better.

On the actual game.
We did OK first half and missed some good chances but second half was very poor, as soon as the goal went in it was all over.
IMO Hungerford are the poorest team we have played this season (and for some time) so doesn't reflect well on us.

So I did and after reading the comments on Twitter towards the players and the club I am glad that I did.

I went to the game with a bit of hope that after the comments that Adam said during the week that we would see an improvement, sometimes the truth does hurt and some of the players do need to question themselves. It is nice to have someone come out and say yes we was rubbish rather than dress it up.

I agree with a number of the fans on here and say yes that the current squad just aren't cutting it and that is the truth, the thing is they are all on contract and are not going to walk away as they have signed however as others have mentioned, attendances will fall people will not pay to watch a team that was great at a number of stages over the years put in performances that I saw yesterday.
But what I don't like is the public attack on the club that I have seen on Twitter this morning. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT SPEAK TO THE CHAIRMAN. All you have done is given a kicking to the players that did try yesterday the likes of Ben, Deren and Elliot.

I will be there on Monday not because I have a season ticket, but because its my football club and I support it through thick or thin.

As the great Bill Shankly said "If you can't support us when we lose or draw don't support us when we win" at the moment I think that hits the nail on the head.

See some of you Monday!
I couldn't find the tweets that you're referring to Gilesy, everything I've seen was understandably critical but within acceptable parameters. If they are as bad as you suggest then I hope you responded directly to the tweets rather than just on here as many of us don't know what you are referring to and people reading this are not necessarily the ones responsible.

As has already been pointed out, I think very few of our players are on contract, which at the moment is now looking like a very good thing. I expect there will be changes very soon and I really hope things turn around for Jamie and Adam. They are decent guys and they have a very difficult job.

When it comes to supporting my club, every time we kick off the past is forgotten and the team starts with a clean sheet, but even if it goes horribly wrong and we fail to score for the rest of the season, like you, I will still be there for the next match as always.

I just hope there's more than two of us.

I, like Spike, will always be supporting the Darts at every match at PP (I can't make many away games, unfortunately) no matter how badly they are playing. After all, the next game may be the one where things really turn around and the oppo get a tonking - and I wouldn't want to miss that!

When I said after Wealdstone that we could be dragged into a relegation battle I wasn't taken seriously. Now it's starting to look like a real possibility, especially if we don't win tomorrow.

It honestly baffles me why we let a certain Concord striker go when he's banging them in every week, and we can't seem to even register decent chances.

The signings have been below par and I'm not sure what we're actually doing to try and turn our fortunes around.

Sorry if you feel that way I wasn’t having a pop at you, a number of people said what you have said many of which have know disappeared from Twitter!

It amazes me that when we go through a bad patch people on here have to go through the rites of pledging their allegiance. After 65 years of supporting the club why would you want to stop now? Bit late, isn't it.
Bugger me, I thought I was doing well having achieved 50 years this season, and I could very easily say sod it I'm off down to Hartsdown or fall out of bed and go watch Herne Bay?? But it just doesn't enter my head. I go for the 'odd' game, because the Dart's are away, and they are, very odd.
The only reason I'm not going to the game today is because of a prior engagement, but even considering the hapless performances of late you still go because maybe, just maybe. . .
We have had worse starts in those 50 years, far worse.
Let's get behind the lads, I'm rather hoping for our third win of the season today and would love to have been there. Just to see that ugly bugger Burnsie. Bless him.
