Unusual times - help our club - CONTACT DETAILS INSIDE
Re: Unusual times - help our club - CONTACT DETAILS INSIDE
I don't feel like buying any more shares, but I'd be more than willing to donate via a JustGiving page - that somehow feels more like supporting the club in its hour of need. Anyone prepared to launch such an appeal?

My cheque is on the way to the club

I'm sure the Club will make a decision on whether to run a Just Giving or not, or something else, but with that, the site would take a percentage of the money raised. With shares (A or B), the Club would get 100% of the money.

I think Just Giving take 2.9% payment processing fee for credit/debit cards & Paypal plus an additional 25p, so it's not a huge deal. Steve Irving tells me that the club will have a shortfall of around £30K so they are looking at this. Personally, I can't see what there is to lose and it wouldn't hurt to do this for fans who don't want to buy shares.

The Club sell a five-year Supporters Association Club Membership, and I was thinking if the Club would be interested in doing a Five-year season ticket at a generous discount for all those interested ? not sure if this idea is viable but just for arguments sake , say you get Thirty supporters willing to pay for example £1000 for those tickets , there is that £ 30,000 shortfall that people are talking about ? just a idea !

Wouldn’t this have an implication down the line though, insofar as that a £30k shortfall is absorbed here and now, but at the expense of income for the next five years?Capricorn25 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 10:21 pm The Club sell a five-year Supporters Association Club Membership, and I was thinking if the Club would be interested in doing a Five-year season ticket at a generous discount for all that are interested ? not sure if this idea is viable but just for arguments sake , say you get Thirty supporters willing to pay for example £1000 for those tickets , there is that £ 30,000 shortfall that people are talking about ? just a idea !
I’m so utterly sick of C***d-19. It’s the all anyone talks about now, that and their own fascinating unique toilet roll anecdotes. Denial phase has set in for me - jobs and livelihoods are at stake and it’s not down to a killer virus, spreading like wildfire - it’s our own doing: overreacting; panic buying; hibernating - sorry, “self isolating” and “social distancing” as this pandemic sweeps the planet, taking out literally dozens per million in its wake.
Sorry for the rant, I’m just pissed off that the world is on its knees about something less deadly than a lot of insects (and probably toasters, cows and Lego), leaving so much uncertainty.

Just to add to previous posts, DFCSA are looking into the possibility of a GoFundMe. Hope to be able to give more information on Monday.

Got my form from Jack and bought another 20 A shares to take mine to the max 50. Would urge people
to buy what they can as and when they can to keep funds going in to the club.
