The definitive guidance is very limited to what the Club (or those related to the Club) can do with regards to shares and the advertising of them.

What I can advise is:

If anyone is interested in requesting a share application form, or any other sort of information, you can email operations@dartfordfc.com or telephone 01322 299993.

The shares idea is good, but I think the fundraising might gather more momentum if the club set up a specific fund, such as a JustGiving page or such like. I think people respond better when they can see progression towards a specific target. They also like to read the names and see who's making donations etc. If the club worked out how much they were set to lose and made this the target then I think it might do quite well.

Plus with a just giving page people can donate as much or as little as they can afford rather than having to find enough to be able to buy an A share.

Probably old hat by now, but I have had the DFC share form on my website for years. I had to update it in 2015 on advice from a great power at the club, but it's there: http://www.thedarts.eu/dfc-shares.docx I am not linked with the club at all, so no problem to advertise it & I hope it hasn't changed in the last 5 years. Hope everyone stays safe!

That form is out of date as there have been a number of changes, voted in at subsequent Annual General Meetings, so people really do need to contact the Club as previously advised
