My first post. But I feel strongly about this. IMO whatever the circumstances, what we did to AW was wrong. He had committed to us and we left him high and dry one week before the start of the new season. We should have been equally committed to HIM and in the past the club has always claimed the moral high ground, but can no longer. The other players would have looked at this askance (AW had fulfilled pre-season obligations and was by now an established member of the squad). In one fell swoop a demoralising atmosphere was created in the dressing room. Philpott would have been up against it from the start but he made it worse with the penalty incident. All this is reflected on the pitch. (Chelmsford excepted, everyone get's up for Chelmsford). The Chairman and managers need to quickly restore TRUST and with it confidence among the team. And always do the right and proper thing in future. Loyalty works both ways.

I agree with Adam, I have given my views on the Wealdstone debacle and Adam summed it up well imo.
Everyone needs to pull the shirt on and give 100% and not hide or sulk.
This is DFC and we expect every player to give his all for the club

But the Management have to accept some responsibility for the last few dire performances as well !!
It was after all them who brought in these players who are not good enough after releasing some who obviously were!! (For whatever reason??)

After a slow start, Charlie went on to be absolutely fantastic for us in his last spell at our club. It's great news that he's back as there's no doubt he's a right handful up front and knows where the net is. He is one of the elite few who can do a great job up front on his own, because he is capable of holding the ball up and acting as the target man as well as being a prolific goal-scorer. Extremely happy with this news, can't wait for Saturday now.
