St Albans (A) Sat 7th March
St Albans (A) Sat 7th March
Just a cautionary note. I tried to go to the St. Albans web site this morning to look up directions for Saturday's fixture. My computer's antivirus detected a threat and removed the offending file automatically. So be careful if you try to use their site, especially if you don't have up to date antivirus.

Also remember that it’s a ridiculous price to get into St Albans so make sure you have enough money.
Re: St Albans (A) Sat 7th March
Bit of a bogey ground for us as well, can't remember last time we won there??
Re: St Albans (A) Sat 7th March
Train for me. Thameslink London Bridge to St Albans City 20 minutes and run frequently. Ground a short walk from the station.
Re: St Albans (A) Sat 7th March
What an opportunity to bury the bogey team, we have to go and put it in a shift, with a decent run we can climb the league further. As usual tuning into Twitter but hoping they have live commentary.

The last time we beat them away wouldn't have been Lee Burns only goal of the season by any chance? It was from a freak header lobbing the on loan keeper from Charlton who was miles off his line.
The same keeper then appeared between the sticks for Maidenhead at Princes Park the following week. Think he had a bit of a mare that day too as I remember the fans singing 'can we play you every week!'

Post match interview with SK after Phoenix mentions possible further recruitment, wow! Speechless.

Well it's very nearly 61 hours away that's all. I have to work Saturday mornings but with communications being so good it's just an hour on the rattler or 14 bottles in laymans terms. I can't repeat the usual " I cant wait" etc etc but you know what I cant wait. I've just watched macca on getting to know the darts (yet another new innovation from DFC) I thank whoever thought of this each week and the post match interviews. James seems to me that he should be working for sky sports. It brings the fans even closer to the club that we love so so much. New fans are coming through the gates each game, well I'm assuming that, as more are attending. And why, winning yeah, but it's more than that, it's the entertainment. Spike has reached the stage where seeing men in the DFC colours playing tiddlywinks would satisfy him, but thats old age for you. This is so good though isnt it. Mr Kite your the leader of the council, is it too early to give this man the freedom of the borough or does that involve him having to March a herd of sheep to the Wat Tyler for watering under some 12th century rule. Dont panic he would do it. . This guy is up there with that other fella who turned water into wine. Mind you if we could get him back wow !!! It's there for all to see. it's not fanny it's there in black and white. (Been waiting to do that one for years). And why is that. Luck ? No. It's been the result of many years. Yes actually, the wonderous board members who dipped for us to survive, the rebirth, the TB years, the history, the council, the fans all ingredients to have raised us to such treat heights both under TB and now. And why now ? Flans and Coylie, legends found it so so hard, but did a fantastic job, after all the years after the legend previous. TB I loved you as a player (that trophy run) the goals, scoring on your debut for CAFC against Millwall, will legend you for many into their footballing utopia for that single goal. But right now for me, this moment, is a massive massive massive chance for DFC and very importantly the fans. Every player, supporter whoever doesn't have a bad word both about Steve King or for the ENTERTAINMENT being served up. I used to ride up on my chopper bike to watch the players train, I'm going back to the Bill Parfitt years etc, and at the age of 54 I'm reaching some sort of level like that. Its bloody bonkers. Parkie I'm sober by the way and yes before you say it , it was a very big bike. All I really sincerely ask and I mean that word "sincerely" is that the board move with this please. We cannot stagnate, we must help DFC in every way possible. I know you do. But when you have a ming vase in your house, your told to insure it. What sane person wouldnt. When I say I am loving this ride i mean i never ever want to get off. Please everybody sing your hearts out home and away, for richer for poorer (no that's not right) anyway, please let's give this man all the tools he further requires to supplement what he has already achieved in so little time.

The missing chapter of "War and Peace", with a bit of Hughie Green thrown in for good measure, not sure how else to describe it. God bless you Reggie.
Did anyone else hear the music of "Land of Hope and Glory" in the background after reading that. Either way, the battle cry has gone out and once again Reggie (AKA Arthur Horsfield) is leading the charge. Happy Days!
