Wealdstone (H) - 18th August 18

I have to agree with most of those comments JCJ.

Well something needs to be done because that was a shocking non performance!I have always tried to be positive about the team but IMO we were let down by a mixture of poor attitude, lack of confidence and lack of quality.
I have faith in Adam and Jamie and hopefully they will sort it out because a lot of our regulars are not happy.A lot of our fans were of the opinion that
Losing is one thing but capitulation is something else.

I attended the match against Chelmsford and was encouraged by what I saw, then endured the second home match, which I left with completely different feelings. When it came to last Saturday, DFC competed with several other things for my time and I am sorry to say that I decided to miss the match. Having been based in Lincoln since 1971 there have been very few occasions when I have been in Kent and missed a home game.
I was actually pleased when the new management team was appointed, so obviously I hope they succeed. What worries me is that they signed a lot of players with whom one of both of them had previously had contact , yet now find themselves disappointed in them. Having seen them spend the close season assembling their squad it will be interesting to see where they can now find players to improve on some of their "first choices."

Yes we have been sh*t for the last three games, but in the past we have gone 10 games without a win, so it is nothing new,it happens, and we have just got to give the management time to sort this out , and i believe (hope)they can.
Adam stated on "Kent-online" that we played a 4-4-2 formation, but it still looked like Delano was isolated, so who was this other striker he was talking about? or was i watching another game?
It is still early so i wont worry just yet , just need to see where we are after 15 games before passing critical judgement.

I THINK it was supposed to be Kudus, based on the lineup shown on Twitter.
Re: Wealdstone (H) - 18th August 18
It was Kudus, although he had a particularly quiet game. I was convinced that he and Isaac would be substituted at half time, but it wasn’t to be. The ten game streak that you speak of, Capricorn25, was that a winless streak or a losing streak? Might look that one up as it will surely rekindle memories to make the current situation seem much less bleak! It was either 2013/14 or 2014/15 and somewhere around Christmas IIRC...

Thanks to Disco Stu's excellent archive page it was 2013/14 - our middle Conference premier season which ended in the ill-fated reprise from relegation. We lost every game in November and December with the exception of a FA Trophy round one home draw (1-1) against Forest Green Rovers on 30/11/13. The replay in Nailsworth resulted in a 1-0 home win, we would then go on to lose until Welling away on January 10th (this game was scheduled for New Year's Day, but postponed due to heavy rain IIRC), which was a 1-1 draw. The Darts didn't win in the league between 19/10/13 and 21/01/14.
Remember that now and do feel a bit better.

Re: Wealdstone (H) - 18th August 18
I have been to every home game so far this season, and the performances have just got worse each time which is worrying considering the players should be gelling more and therefore playing better together.
The home win against Chelmsford after winning at Bath after being 1-0 down was promising, breaking a 17 year record or whatever it was; I was optimistic that we could build some momentum despite the actual performance not being great.
Then came the 0-0 against Hemel. A game we truly deserved to lose however when given a penalty with 10 minutes to go that's the sort of chances we have to take if we're going to have any chance at a title challenge, steal 3 points when we deserve 0. A poor performance topped off by arguing over who takes the penalty, for it then to be smashed into the car park.
The most recent game, Wealdstone, a mid table team last season who don't get me wrong, have strengthened in the summer however it was the first game in all the years I have been going to Princes Park that has genuinely made me angry at the players. Not one of those players looked interested in playing, a sloppy mistake to concede the first goal and a lack of awareness for the entire game.
The next two games are so important for our season both teams without a win and teams we really should be beating. Win both and maybe we can push for playoffs (I can't look past Billericay or Woking for the title), but if we don't win both of these games then we will be dragged into a relegation battle, our best players will start thinking about playing elsewhere and it will be extremely difficult build any momentum.
