Three new additions into midfield and no tall attacker to win the ball up front always meant that we might struggle a bit especially with the wind blowing across the field and the surface proving very slippery but we got the win.
An excellent goal from the free kick to put us in front but what on earth was Sesay doing running so far out off his line to allow the soft goal for the equaliser and he nearly repeated the error a couple more times when thinking about coming out, but we were able to block or clear shots thanks to the defence that played a good game today.
I have to give my vote for M.O.M. to Darren who had the beating of defenders all over the field with non stop running only to be kicked and fouled, but thankfully the referee awarded us the free kicks and later the penalty and it saw Darren get up and convert from the spot, something that was worrying us fans behind the goal as he has converted so many this season without a miss.
Other results went our way as well so lets take this win and be ready for the big test next week against Wealdstone.

I was so pleased to see Nobes back in the side, but he didn't quite get into his stride today and with the yellow card too, the substitution was the right call. Jebb's goal was an absolute peach but we lost our way a little and didn't regain control until Wynter came on and gave us a little more physical presence in midfield. We definitely missed Elliott Romaine up front but once again it was on fire Macca who won and scored the penalty that secured the points and my vote for MOTM. 3 more points, onwards and upwards.

We were poor. Not sure what the team selection was about. Don't know why you would change the whole midfield 3. The balance of the team was off but we got away with it. Not sure we'll be so lucky next week against a much better team.

Oh well enjoy the win and look forward to the cup on Tuesday. Come on you Darts

A well ground out 3 points against Eastbourne in very bad conditions for football . The wind was a real leveller IMO but we were still much the better side . It was worth going just to see Jebb scores a stunning free lick , not a bad way to introduce yourself to the club

Enjoy the goals

Must of been difficult for the two new lads to get thrown straight in to the starting line up , but both did well and Jacks goal from the free-kick was pure class . Nobes looked way off the pace and struggled to get any foothold in the game ,and was rightly substituted just after his mistake that could of been costly for us ? I thought Tom Bonner was caught for pace on a couple of occasions but still managed to get in some important blocks and overall had a good game.
Darren is on top of his game at the moment and is a handful for any defence, and he deserved his goal . I thought their player was in an offside position when put through for their goal ? will have to wait for the highlights to make any judgement . The game itself was one to forget , i think the conditions didn't help , but in the end it is three points so we shouldn't grumble ?
Motm Tom Bonner .

Agree with much of this post. A gamble to play two new signings from the off but both settled well and what a goal for a debut. I also thought their goal was offside - not quite in line with the play but Josh's reaction said it all. Not a great game and blustery conditions didn't help either side. I went for TB for MoM. I thought EB were a pretty decent outfit and easier on the eye than Hampton and Richmond. Glad Elliot is back next week and looking forward to the midfield line up too!

......and no mention of the twat of a linesman who gave an offside decision from a throw in. Embarrassing!
