If I am perfectly honest, I am quite disappointed that they have been overlooked. Sam Blackman was the best player pre-season and had a very good spell at Braintree at National level, also chipped in with a number of goals too. If we ain't going to use them, we need to move them on. We don't need so many players!Lincoln exile wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 2:19 pm Noble, Blackman and Allen are going to struggle to get in the squad!

Would you drop Hyde or Crook at the moment just to accommodate them?Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 2:47 pmIf I am perfectly honest, I am quite disappointed that they have been overlooked. Kingy has already stated that they all feature in his plans still, he’s also already stated that Noble will almost certainly go out on loan to get minutes under his belt and to get him fully match for and at a guess Allen will probably have to do the same.Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 2:47 pmIf I am perfectly honest, I am quite disappointed that they have been overlooked. Blackman has been out on loan and done very well but will need to bide his time a little more.
Kingy knows exactly what each of these players can do and what they are capable of and if he didn’t want them he would’ve released them by now.
He mentioned previously in one of his interviews that he’s looking for specific types of player and he wanted another player exactly like Agyepong and he wouldn’t bring anyone else in unless it was exactly what he was looking for.
This guy seriously knows what he’s doing and I for one have every faith in him and what he is doing. The signings he’s making are virtually all quality and a few from league clubs which we never had before.
Just sit back, relax and enjoy the Steve King Experiance aboard the DFC Express Train.
Re: New signings / departures under Steve King
No way should those 2 players be dropped but the 3 players mentioned (Noble, Blackman and Allen) should be inline to replace the returning Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong. It is called balancing the books.the futures white wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 3:24 pmWould you drop Hyde or Crook at the moment just to accommodate them?Jonty wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 2:47 pmIf I am perfectly honest, I am quite disappointed that they have been overlooked. 5th, I am enjoying the ride but all these players don't sit well with me.

Jonty
You have I believe heard from people in the know which may be why you are a bit worried and then again I and several others have heard from people supposedly in the know probably to the contrary to views by yours.
So I would just accept that we have an excellent squad assembled by Steve and yes at the moment possibly too many but I'm sure as and when he has the best squad he will trim a few and then perhaps you can have less of a worry about possibly stretching the budget and hopefully the players you mentioned will figure in the squad.

Jonty we are winning every week and I have it on very good authority that the budget situation is fine. Honestly mate, it seems odd to me that you should want to focus on a perceived negative. Personally I'm having a great time at the moment and the atmosphere at our club is buzzing. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but I do find your comments surprising given how well we are doing. Give King some time to sort out the squad, he knows what he is doing. Just enjoy the ride.
Re: New signings / departures under Steve King
I have not mentioned the budget Spike if you look carefully at the post at the top of this page. My comments were made about Lincoln Exile's post about Noble, Blackman and Allen being overlooked for the departing Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong. Just find it odd that we sign another midfielder when we have 3 perfectly good ones at the club. To me, it's about giving the existing players the opportunity. Why send out Sam Blackman for a month's loan, where he scores a number of goals only to come back and can't even make the bench. I'm trying to work out the logic, maybe, the manager feels those players are not good enough or he has found a better player. Maybe, you have the answer!
I'm certainly not going out of my way to find something to moan about Spike, far from it and if you have it on good authority that everything is fine, then that is fine by me. We are playing the best brand of football since the Peter Taylor era and over the next season or two under SK we could well have the same success that Tony bought to this great club. I won't say any more as it might be misinterpreted as being negative!

Arthur here. I'm afraid Reginald is been taken into custody, drunk and disorderly they report. I've told him so many times, but you cant help that boy.
Thank all the DFC people from Kingy, the board, the players and especially to Ronaldo Vint. Love that boy. Doesn't bleet at all as Steve cannot possibly drop Josh or Tom B, but that's not a reflection on Ronnie but how well the other 2 lads are playing. Just a point but tonights song for DFC is easy
