Not National South but see below terrible news!

Taken from Twitter this evening
Alfreton Town would like to issue the following statement in relation to the incident reported overnight by Nottinghamshire Police.

The club are extremely shocked to hear of the incident which saw one of the club’s former players, Jordan Sinnott, receiving life threatening head injuries.

Contrary to false reports that had been circulating on social media and the press in relation to Jordan’s condition, the club sends its prayers to Jordan and his family and friends during this difficult time.

Alfreton Town would also like to thank all the players, officials and management from Gateshead FC for their professionalism and understanding in agreeing to call today’s fixture off, in relation to this incident.

The club kindly asks for privacy to be respected during this time and we thank all supporters for their understanding and patience.

Anyone who witnessed either incident or believes they may have captured them on dashcam or mobile phone footage is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 78 of 25 January 2020.

They issued another statement after this saying that he had passed away!

Terrible news!

Stringer won't be unemployed for long.
There is always someone willing take him on
As long as it isn't DFC that is!

The Chelmsford fans seem to think he’s going to Romford to link up with Glenn Tamplin.

The games at Tonbridge (v Wealdstone) and Billericay (v Maidstone) both called off around 1.30. The away fans at both games are fuming as many of them had already arrived at the respective grounds or were close to arriving. Wealdstone are claiming that they were expecting 200+ fans to travel to Tonbridge. Billericay's pitch passed an inspection this morning and then about 4 hours later the decision was reversed. The comments on Twitter from the away fans and some home fans makes interesting reading!.
