There seems to be some confusion about the red card. Both the Slough Twitter updates and the Non-League" paper claim that Arnold was the player sent off! The paper says he pushed the assistant referee after conceding a throw.

Well, we can't win them all.
Surprised also that we have people on here that react to UTD's first post and then it's not until the 6th page that all get him out of their system and start to talk of the match. Only for someone to start having another go.
We lost, and to be honest, no great surprise. Slough were very good at PP, albeit against a poor team. Okay, I didn't see the game yesterday so really can't comment on our performance.
But, let's get over it. We need to start next Saturday where we left off last. With a win.
Fortunately, others around us made little effort in taking advantage of our loss. It would have been nice to have got a win yesterday to take advantage of Maidstone's slip at St Albans, but that's how it goes. I do feel that this division is a pretty poor one compared to a couple of years ago, which only bodes well for next season when we have Kingy getting a whole season under his belt. Not that I have given up on this one yet.
Onwards and upwards.

Started quite well, but the Slough defence was strong and organised, so Elliott was not able to win the headers that we normally see, while Luke couldn't beat his man so often, and Darren playing a bit deeper wasn't allowed to get into the game. Midfield we seemed outfought, so we had little time to play our quick passing game. Our defence held firm though against a lively attack and snuffing out the danger from so many corners and crosses.
Alhaji was by far the busier keeper - did we have a shot on goal? - and apart from being unable to hold the swerving shot leading to their tap in, he was quick off his line to help the defence. Handling and passing out generally assured.
Substitutions of our three front men did nothing to improve chances in the last quarter of an hour.
Fortunately the teams below us didn't take advantage. Can't win them all; Slough were a good strong team. Onwards and upwards.

I think Brian summed up yesterday perfectly. Slough won the midfield battle and therefore our fast passing game was nullified.

We cannot win every game so we move on to the next game and the start of another five game winning streak.

I noticed and was going to post the same query LE.
I'm guessing it was Ming sent off and not Arnold, as that what was posting on our own Twitter feed, but nobody has yet come forward to confirm who it was.

If it was true a player did push the lino, then might it not be an extra length suspension period? And also, if true, a very silly and needless sending off, especially at a time when we were needing to really have 11 on the pitch for the last 5 mins and additional 5 mins played and pushing for a goal.

Still. It has been an extraordinary turn around to win 5 on the bounce. As others have said, other results around us have mainly gone in our favour. Looks like an interesting end to the season and maybe even another trip to Slough?

Definately Ming Red Carded for "Handling the Lino" so i assume a minimum 3 x game ban!!
Thought Slough looked like a top 3 team & they are so use to & make the most of playing on that pitch.
Their nos 8 in Midfield & 3 the left back impressed me.
Saying that their defender was so lucky to only escape with a caution for that assault on Luke early in the game, if it had occured later on i'm sure it would have been a straight red, and rightly so!!
In defence of Sesay it was so unusual for him to push out the initial shot for their goal, he normally clasps onto those from what i've seen of him so far.
Wasn't our best day at the office, but hey ho let's move on!!

Hi all
I was the commentator for yesterdays game on Rebels Radio and just wanted to say that your fans yesterday were excellent , both in the bar and behind the goal. The reason it was reported that Arnold was sent off was the teamsheet said Arnold was no2 and Ming no3 but they were wearing the opposite shirt numbers.
Good luck for the rest of the season

Suggesting Ming might get a three- match suspension could be optimistic if his previous five-match ban was for a similar offence!

It was Ming that saw red. In my opinion he looked uncomfortable at left back all game. Up against a very good right winger in Warren Harris.

Struggled to break down a well-drilled team throughout. Disappointing to lose to any side, but Slough will finish in a play-off spot.

For us now to work on a few things, give one or two players a run-out at Maidstone on Tuesday, and move on to next Saturday.

It really is a work in progress but good progress nonetheless. Kingy’s doing a great job and long may it continue. Will be good to see what Sam Blackman can add to the team - impressed in pre-season.
