Wow, this is becoming a very good habit, consistency and winning!

Pre-match (like last week) this was seen as a major test of us as Oxford had beaten Wealdstone and no matter how well we played, 3-0 is as good as it gets.

I was so happy to catch 2 games over Christmas and I could see that we possessed power and pace, these attributes were lacking before SK and boy how the mood has changed among the fans.

SK is molding a special squad and a huge pat on the back to those responsible for hiring him - crowds will be up, feel good factor returning and knocking on the door of the promised land.

As you can gather I am real happy!

First off I thought the injury to their player affected us more than them and the game soon got scrappy and tetchy. Bookings galore but I have to agree with Kentc, I thought the Crook's booking looked poor from where I was.
It's good to see Luke had a sparkling game and it seems he is having a resurgence along with McQueen under SK. An excellent game he had and gets my MOTM, but I do like Jacob, he plays the simple ball and was very brave in scoring his goal with the defender hurtling in on him. Took it very well.
A good win although not as entertaining as recent games. But onwards and upwards.
I do hope the Oxford player is okay, although I did think he brought it on himself. He shoved Elliot in the back into one of his own players, and HE was the coming off worse. At first he got goaded by nearby fans which soon turned quiet when the seriousness of the situation became evident.

Oxford's injured player (Finn Tapp) recovered in the dressing room and didn't have to go to hospital.

From Oxford's Twitter:-

🎤 | Andy Ballard on Finn Tapp’s injury “He came around back in the changing room and managed sit on the bench for the second half so a positive in the end for him”

Good news as it did look bad with no movement for 10 minutes then neck brace and very gingerly lifting onto stretcher.

Strong performance again particularly in midfield, controlled by Billy, Tyrigue and Jacob, passing quickly and regaining possession to not allow them time to settle. Good to see Luke's continuing improvement and self-belief; he often seemed to lose heart if things didn't go well previously. Also Darren has such pace and ability to squirm around defenders. Exciting times once more!

Winning is what we always hope for but we are winning so well at the moment which is something we needed to do to maintain our push to compete in the playoffs coming from such a negative goal difference to a modest positive one.
Let's continue in this vain if we can as it is so exciting to watch and scoring more goals must help encourage the defence to try and keep a clean sheet.
Tough games coming up but so have the other teams in contention some with games in hand but we have points on the board and Tuesday has Maidstone against Hemel so a draw would help us out nicely.

I spoke to Oxfords keeper while the player was being treated . He said at the time that its a head injury but he is ok . He went on to say "" I am bloody freezing , he is right by the side of the pitch , why can't they roll the fucker off so we can get on with the game"" :D :D :D

Got to love a keeper with a sense of humor

Skip wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2020 9:45 am Yesterday, we may have only played at our best in spurts, but wasn’t it entertaining? The style of football has got just about every supporter jumping with joy at the difference in our performances since the change of management. And with the number of clean sheets were are now accumulating it is obvious that the confidence is spreading throughout the team from back to front. Every new signing that Steve King has made, whether permanent or loanee, that is appearing on a regular basis, have added to our play in a positive way.

I absolutely look forward to every game now. I can’t wait for Saturday. Win lose or draw I know the game won’t be a bore😁
Skip agree every time we go forward we look like we are going to score!

Five wins on the spin, sixteen goals scored and just two conceded. Confidence and ability soaring through the team. Top of the form table and catching up the teams seemingly locked into the playoff spots (remember that from a year ago!?)
Not a bad time to be a Dartford supporter...

Another Saturday and another 3 points in the bag.

As some people have previously said, we weren’t at our best yesterday but we were still far too good for an inform Oxford team. Our pace up front is frightening, the team are playing with confidence and some of the football we are producing is some of the best I have seen for a number of years.

The change under SK in such a short of amount of time is truly miraculous. We won’t win every game but if things continue as they are, we will certainly be entertained.
