Still buzzing from a brilliant well-deserved win. Well worth staying to the end and missing my intended train.
The agony and ecstasy after seeing so many chances to wrap it up at 2-0 go begging, hitting the post, just wide and blasting over, then allowing them to draw level, albeit with a great strike in off the post for their second, then seeing what looked like an open goal for the ball to somehow trickle into Sesay's safe hands. Then we stepped up a gear in the last minutes, rather than settling for a point.
Good performances all round, with Luke having his best game this season, constantly beating his man, Darren a revelation in recent weeks, and Elliott doing all we now expect - his goal looks better each time you watch the video. Midfield saw Ky and Jacob in charge with Billy deeper, and defenders rarely troubled. Sesay looking more confident and capable each game.
As others said, the ref was weak and inconsistent, but credit him with the nerve to give the penalties so early and so late, knowing the protesters would be all over him. And then Macca's cool nerves to ignore the protests and attempts to put him off.
Poor lights for such a modern looking ground. Hadn't realised they had an artificial pitch, but it played well and suited our quick short passing game.
Programme was very poor value at £3 with 44 pages of glossy ads and only 16 pages linked to football, with little worth reading, apart from a bit highlighting a Metropolitan League programme of ours from 1958/9. More about their pen pictures than ours, which still included Mark O, Ben and Elliott Leveson (who?) and the line-up not including Billy, Luke, Sesay and 3 newer players. Lazy effort; don't the clubs talk to each other for updates?
However, a great day out!

What Reggie said below may seem harsh to those fans that didn't travel but I doubt there was any Darts fans that didn't cheer when the 4 was helped off between two people and not a reaction I can recall for a long while from our fans who are normally so sporting when injuries occurs.
Full marks to all of our team for not responding to these tactics and justice prevailed at the end with two of the few decisions the referee made that we could agree with in awarding the penalties.
For Reggie to be barred from their bar was a reaction you would expect from Dorkings top man as he probably initiated their tactics on the field of play and just think of all those lost profits when Reggie had to stop drinking
The 4 fouled and wrestled Elliot to the ground on the edge of the box in the first minute even before the penalty and continued to do so on several other of our players before his departure and he along with the remainder of their team were intent on feigning fouls and injuries up front from their forwards whilst their defence kicked any of our players and then tried to intimidate and provoke them into a response whilst looking to the referee for help.as for the number 4 who went off I really hope it's a career threatening injury. H

'Oh Ye of little faith, Rambo'. I was on that train weeks ago.
At least the little oink at Dorking recognised a brilliant goal in Elliot's effort. As said in the aftermath of his goal on KST's vid, 'what a f****** player'.
Couldn't make the game but have enjoyed this thread.
Looking forward to next weeks game. As said, Kingy has players who want to play for him and the club. Oxford won't be a pushover.
SK says 'we are not the team we were at the start of the season'. You can say that again.

That's a bit strong Reg, you can't say that about a player!!

Reggie says
The irony is it took one of his own players to injure him and inflict the pain that our players had suffered during the gameHe will hurt someone badly himself before long
