Dorking away 04.01.20 match thread
Re: Dorking away 04.01.20 match thread
You can just see at the end of Kev's video the culprit for giving the second penalty away booting the ball right into Macca. No booking, but justice meted out in my opinion.
Re: Dorking away 04.01.20 match thread
What a game and a massive victory for football, they are a horrible lot and it's also not a good ground to watch football at.
It was quite clear from the start that Dorkings intention was to practice the dark arts and they were so good at it they must be like it every week. In the first half especially they tried everything to disrupt us except actually just playing football. The ringleaders and worst culprits were the number 4 and number 18 (Luke Moore). The number 4 went off early second half with an injury so thank god no more from him and Luke Moore gave away the penalty in the final few minutes, how ironic. This was complete justice after Moore's antics throughout the game, first half he kept trying to wind Elliott up and get him to bite including stamping on his feet numerous times, he followed that up in the second half with a wack on Elliots back as he was going back to defend a corner and then kicked the ball at Macca while he was on the ground after he conceded the penalty. So perhaps in future they will conduct themselves a bit better but i doubt it as there is a spoilt child like mentality about Dorking and one can only guess what will happen when they are not winning most weeks, i guess it will end up like a Billericay.
Once again massive credit to our players for keeping their discipline and add to that the referee's performance they were fantastic. Let's get this into perspective, we were awarded two penalties (both definite) and won the game 3-2 so it's not sour grapes but the referee's performance was dire. He was so poor in the first half allowing them to get away with absolute bloody murder which makes this victory even better. Our lads were fantastic and just kept playing and did not rise to their antics.
We have a good spirit in the camp now and even when they equalised we all felt that we would get another chance and that's how it worked out but over all we deserved the victory. Taking into account Sanchez had to slot in at left back, Ky filled in at centre mid for Jordan and it was Nick Arnold's first game we did great. And how the hell did Arnold get booked in the first half? The ref indicated it was for several fouls but i can't recall a free kick awarded against him. A great team performance and several contenders for MOTM including Ajai, Sanchez, and Elliott but for me it was Darren McQueen. Cool as a cucumber on the final minute penalty and a threat all game.
Very good support as well today, i would estimate at least 250-300 Darts fans there.

Well, what can we say!!! what a game!!
We played unbelievable and we deserved that all day long, Romain the best striker we have ever had? Maccaa is just class and lukey on the wing beating players left right and centre. SK has worked wonders with that team and the players he has brought in are class!! us fans didn't stop singing for the whole 90 minutes... well 95 haha and if we keep going like this who knows we could get promoted this season and who would've thought that 3 months ago!!!
Steve King has a dream
To build a football team
he brought in a few new players all on his ownnnn
He's losing his hair
but we don't careeeee
we're dartford fc... we're on our way back!!!!
Come on you darts!!

a fantastic win and great elliott left their number 2 on his backside withanother good goal.thought luke had a good game with having the beating of their left back all second half.it was great that the team still had the belief that they could do it and with our great support we did it.

This time last year Welling were playing great football and heading for play offs, now it’s us, what’s the common factor STEVE KING!! He’s turned things around and tho I still think play offs are still a dream , we are in the hunt , not in a relegation battle like bus stop united under the worst manager in leauge( who sacked King, what a prick
). Credit to the board for making right decision and credit to the dartford fans for amazing support. Tell your mates, tell everyone, get to home games and see proper football!!
