Great read on the Welling Forum why their manager decided to take himself away on holiday, he misses this one, Saturday and the repeat fixture at ours!

Mr Happy Chappy., Steve King puts the record straight in this interview. Fact over gossip.
He certainly does. Happy Chappy's post after the Concord game annoyed me at the time because it didnt tally with what I'd heard. It was a classic example of someone making a wild assumption based on no knowledge whatsoever and even suggested that anyone who didn't agree with his fabrication must be "deluded". The trouble is that some people will swallow this sort of nonsense and it's completely unfair. What SK says in this latest interview conforms to what id heard at the time.

It's not always just about money. I can think of many reasons why a player might choose the Darts aheas of Welling and I'd like to think these were an additional factor. However, Ming's primary reason was about job security, which only became available at Welling AFTER we had made our offer. He might also prefer to be playing for a manager who doesnt buggar off on holiday over the crucial Christmas period.

Excellent interview yet again with SK and good to hear he’s cleared matters up regarding Sanchez Ming and still being within budget. Brilliant interviews by DFC TV

I had to laugh at the biggest thing that summed up Welling's performance today: the shoulder-to-shoulder collision and collapse between their two centre backs which left Elliot to run in unopposed for goal No. 3. If they carry on playing that way, a relegation battle looms for them. (Tee-hee!)

How on earth does PVR earn its safety certificate? Great humbling dished out by the boys yesterday. Billy Crook had a good game in the middle and top marks to Tony Burman for saving me as I fell up the slippery stairs to the wings lounge. Embarrassing stuff.

First half I thought was even but second half we pushed up and looked by far the better team, neat finish by Darren McQueen for number 2 shame he missed two glorious chances to get his hat trick and Elliott Romain never stopped running hustling the two Welling centre backs to get his reward with the third goal. I don't think they could have complained if it finished 5 nil to us. Good turnout by the Dartford faithful despite the depressing weather and place.

Wow, what a Christmas present! I braved the cold and flew in for the game, loved it and all round performance was heart warming, need to produce it again and again please. Great to catch up with a few mates too. We controlled the game for long periods and Welling lacked leadership so got what they deserved and that win must be so sweet for SK :D

Could have been 5 so easily! Someone wake up the missing 500 Darts fans, get aboard the SK express, it’s going to be fantastic :)

Good Darts!

Wellings biggest and only threat yesterday was "PENALTY"

If he stays long enough King will set this club alight. Which is what I said two years ago, was someone we needed. Some on here were worried he would be the sort, that if things started going pear shaped straight off, he wouldn't stay. I thought he may have been a Billy Big Bollocks. He is proving his doubters wrong. Long may he stay.
And I don't care if he has big bollocks.
