Does anyone on here, and I'm sure he was known by many, know what has happened with John? The guy with one leg who sat in his mobility scooter at matches.
I have known him since the 70's, but I never got to know his surname.
I would always talk with him pre-match at Princes Park. The last time I saw him was at Home to Poole Town, he looked ill and I know he had his health issues. After the Poole game I wasn't at PP until the play-off game against Braintree having been out of the Country.
So, if I've missed some news on him it was because of that. I know that a member of staff/Director would bring him the team sheet before each game.
Anyway, thanks. I think John lost his leg due to a motorbike accident he had in the late 60s early 70's.

It's John "Eastwood" Ozy.
I've known him for many years as well and you are right about his bike accident, it happened on a Friday the 13th and John told me that he would not leave his house on any Friday the 13th afterwards.
Several years ago i spent many a time having a beer with him and like you i always said hello but have not seen him for a while. I have been told that he was living in Lowfield Street but has not been seen in the town either for some time, i will ask round and try and find out.

Cheers Park Life. I have known him almost 45 years. He was looking really pastie when I last saw him. he hasn't had a great deal of luck throughout his life, and I always tried to have a chat with him at games. He said he had many health issue's and you couldn't help but feel for the guy.
