What's best at the end of the day? £800 per week without a contract or £750 per week with the security of a contract?
Especially if you have a young family to consider.
Anybody who thinks he's on less money with us than Welling is deluded imo.
If he's a such a good player why hasn't he been snapped up by a national league side?

As far as I can see eleven new players have been signed since Steve King's arrival. In itself that is no surprise, as his ability to sign players was quoted as a strength before his appointment. What worries me more is how few of those eleven "better" players actually started Saturday's match.

I am not sure either about the statement made by one poster that incoming players must be more expensive than those they have replaced, putting a burden on the budget. Unless I have missed something, there have not been departures, apart from two on loan. The newcomers are therefore additions rather than replacements, so there has to be a significant increase in expenditure.

What does that even mean?
Surely you could ask a similar question of every single player that joins any club that isn't in the Premier League.
Why not just give the bloke a chance to show what he can do? Personally I thought he got off to a pretty good start on Saturday.

In my opinion, we weren't very good on Saturday and debatable decisions to one side, the best team won. That is always likely to happen every now and again because of the circumstances SK has inherited. As far as I'm concerned this season's promotion chances were blown the moment the board reappointed Flanners & Coyley and Kingy's job is simply to keep us up and I'm making no judgements until next season when I expect us to be pushing for promotion. At the moment his hands are tied with contracted players and ridiculous bad luck with injuries. I am 100% confident we will stay up and anything more than that is a bonus. As far as I'm concerned, things are ticking along more or less as expected.

What I wasn't expecting is that there are no easy games in this league.

If he’s earning more money with us is that not a positive thing that we can afford to attract players from out local rivals?

How do you know this ?
The player Mings we have just signed from Welling has been replaced there by a player there who is on half the wages that Mings was on and Mings has obviously joined us for more money than he was on at Welling. For me that's worrying.

Once again how a) do you know this and b) is he !!!!!

All this talk of wages is total nonsense and a waste of time.
