With Elliots two goals yesterday I'm believe he is now this leagues second top marksman. Add to that his effort, we have one really great player doing us all proud at the moment. That shouldn't detract from all the lads. Ronnie and Josh have been good, Luke W had in many peoples mind the best game under Steve King. Macca is now starting to show his ability that he showed in his earlier years. Crooky doesn't let anyone down. I could go on with the rest of the team who have also been outstanding. I love it when that word "team" pops up. It can get you over the line in so many games. Its something with the "great four" we always had. As I said to someone earlier i believe this to be just the start. Loving watching the style, it's a plus plus for me everywhere

First half we were good playing some decent football and deserved the two goal lead. Unfortunately we couldn't maintain it for the whole 90 mins and Billericay came back into it but we still looked dangerous on the counter attack causing them problems with the pace we now have in the team. A very important win as being the only league fixture we have gained ground and moved up several places.
MOTM Elliot, a great signing.
It's fun watching the team again and rather than just going out of loyalty i really look forward to every game as we are now playing with confidence and that shows in the style of football we are producing. A long way still to go but we are definitely moving in the right direction.

I very much enjoyed the game yesterday, it was a good contest and both teams played their part. SK has got the team playing some decent football and overall I think we deserved the 3 points. All the players gave their all but I have to give my MOTM vote to Elliott as he worked his socks off AND bagged a couple of goals. Things seem to be chugging along nicely under Steve King and I am confident we are heading in the right direction.

Sorry of course I meant Luke Allen who was injured by the Maidstone Goalkeeper in the Trophy replay.

So, Jordan's performance was better than we all thought. SK says he had no one else who could have handled Alfa. Also Steve talks a good game, we are where he thinks we should be. 8 points off of the play-offs. I think the King is thinking 'play-offs'. I may be wrong but it's achievable.

After watching Darren McQueen's post match interview on YouTube it was followed (at the time) by a post match interview with Jamie O'Hara. During the interview he explained that he brought himself on as a substitute because he wanted someone to 'pick a pass and take responsibility'. I don't know what game he was watching because I and other people around me at the match, as well as other people I've spoken to since, thought that the guy that he replaced, Lewis Cook (no. 8) was one of the best players on the pitch. When O'Hara waddled on to the pitch in his figure hugging kit (the shirt must have had more x's in the label than a pools coupon!) people started chuckling. He then proceeded to ping long passes into the corners which caused no problems for the Darts defence. Some people just don't know when to hang their boots up!.
