Following their impressive 1-0 victory over Torquay to face Blackpool in the second round of the FA cup, we face Maidstone this Saturday at Princes Park. Their losses have mainly come away from the Gallagher except for their opening day 2-1 reverse against Weymouth, the actions in which have rendered all of their 2019/20 home league fixtures as segregated.
Most recently, they were undone by Darts' latest victims Hampton & Richmond, but their FA cup advance will have buoyed them.
Bizarrely, Maidstone have been drawn at home against in Dartford in both the Kent Senior cup and the FA Trophy 3rd qualifying round, meaning two trips down Blue Bell Hill before our league clash in April.
Should we win on Saturday, we would draw level on points with Maidstone and things will be looking quite different from the mire we found ourselves in a couple of months ago. I believe this is quite possible with the team that Steve King is assembling. Certainly looking forward to this one more than I would have been in September! Hopefully another positive attacking line up and a load of goals to put smiles on our faces.

All the new signings are settling in nicely and have definitely added an extra level to what we’ve witnessed so far this season. I’m certainly looking forward to Marsh-Brown’s home debut after he shredded the Hampton defence last week. A repeat of that first half will have the home support out of their seats. And wouldn’t this be an ideal time to pick up only our second home win of the season? They’ve been on a pretty decent run of late so it’d be another step in the right direction if we could do a job on them.
This fixture will always have added spice after the calamitous involvement of their chairman, Jim Thompson, in the sale of our previous stadium and subsequent ground sharing merry go round in Kent and Essex. After years of struggle we now have a stadium and facility that many non league clubs would be envious of and with our new management at the helm a return to the Conference, hopefully, not too far away.

Absolutely everyone looking forward to the game, our new manager will field a hungry motivated team and the fans pumped.
Miss the games and I would have had a sore throat after this one, I will be hanging on for every Tweet update.
All I can say is give the players all the encouragement you can and hopefully we will get the result the whole club craves.

This will be my first glimpse of a Steve King side and I am looking forward to it. Not going to be easy and I am looking forward to seeing a Hakan Heyrettin side.

Just finished listening to Steve Kings excellent interview, the guy is class. We can only go from strength to strength with this guy in charge.
He may be DFC’s manager but he’s out most weeks watching other games looking for players from all levels.

That is a good interview and I might even try out the Liam Daish one tonight around half ten, I am in need of a good night's sleep.

Loved this interview. What a fascinating insight into Kingy’s football management cv. I knew Steve had a very good management pedigree but hadn’t realised just how he has succeeded in just about every club in his career. I have no doubt that his brand of football will, in the first place, be thoroughly entertaining and secondly, give us every chance of winning something!Reginald Horsfield wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 11:13 am https://twitter.com/kentonlinesport/sta ... 36129?s=12

I truly believe that we have appointed a top class manager and delighted that both parties took their time to make the right choice.

I fully agree Skip, I couldn’t believe just how many contacts he seems to have and the quality of them. He had links with Barcelona, Spurs & many other football league clubs as well as getting at least 17 players in to the football league.Skip wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 7:27 pmLoved this interview. Will it be segregated?
What sort of numbers are expected for this one 1.5k-2k? Or is that too ambitious considering recent numbers
