Re: TONBRIDGE ANGELS (H) SAT 11TH SEP 3PM

Ozy said "We are not giving the Tonbridge performance it's rightful place here".
!00% this from me, they came with an effective plan, it was up to SK and players to unravel it and find a positive way to respond. SK did to a degree with the Leonard sub and switch attack left to right, but 16 points from a possible 18 is still brilliant and we won't win every game, but need to make sure we get past the majority of other teams. The high expectation was we would get past the Angels but they are now stronger than many thought.

What I find from SK's interview, informative and explanatory, yes, but to ask him after 5 wins and 1 draw if he is looking at other players, I find incredulous. He has a strong squad with every position covered in reserve, why a need for other players at this time, unless of course the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo come along and say I want to play for you for free!! A manager will always be looking, listening and forming targets for the future, but not making changes after just six games and 88% success rate.

Finally, SK interviews, I am no technical sounds expert, but can nothing be done to cut down background sounds? In weeks past the sound has been blighted by gale force winds on a reasonably still day, yesterday sounded like Kingy was standing between the M25 and Biggin Hill airport! Not good for us disadvantaged old gits with hearing aids!

I was also impressed with Meade who got my MOM vote.

Onwards and upwards, COYD

Steve King summed it up perfectly on Radio Kent at 5.20pm !!!!!!
No standout for MOTM but as Jebb scored a great goal and unlucky with super free kick then I have given it to him !!

I like Tonbridge Angels but really they are just a team of 100%ers and we should be disappointed to have only got a point today
Im sorry Duke i really cant have that shite. Hollywood balls . FO Duke Reg gets slaughtered for his posts but in truth that is cish
Here is a good reason for not registering for the new forum. And it's not Duke.

Just subject to bank transfers etc...

I presume this must be a Ouija board reg is referring to. If DFC then I shall be seeking a refund.

Reg without match comment and that is it
Reg
Now Reg, I'm going to sound like a forum admin here when I am merely a novice poster, but when I commented about your over enthusiasm and DJ activity, it was never my intention you should stop posting your opinions in this forum. Just that I, and it appears some others, were getting a bit tired of your repeated and may I suggest over the top criticisms of others posts, followed by you labelling me "a knocker". In my eyes I am far from that, and am celebrating recent results, long may that continue, but we don't need constantly reminding how good this manager and team are, we can see that for ourselves. I still say my post which you found so "unbelievably" negative, was not intended to be so, merely an observation and a hypothetical, tongue in cheek suggestion about cancelling half time breaks.
I have seen here that DFC is engrained throughout your heart and soul, and you are very much DFC family, you can add positivity here. I apologise that my post upset you so much, (even if I can't understand why) and I for one look forward to your future measured comments and responses.

In the meantime, good luck to the team and travelling supporters today, please bring home another three points, although I shall still celebrate if it's only one! COYD

A big well done to team and management. Obviously can't comment on today's performance but if I am to have a concern on the season so far, it would be the half time whistle. From what I have seen and read, we have been totally dominant in the first half of every game, but don't continue with the same momentum on return to the pitch. Fortunately it seems we then come good again towards the 90 minutes. Why should this be? Perhaps there should be a change of refreshment or routine, or can we propose half time breaks be dispensed with?
Keep up the excellent work SK and team.
Wowser, slip away for a night and a morning and I am so far behind. Lets just go back to my original post that has so much upset Reg/Reginald/Arthur Horsfield or any other aliases he may be. I am a relative newbie here, don't know the guy and not so sure I want to as I find several of his posts repetitive or meaningless. Also this is a football club forum not a pirate radio station. If he wants to be a DJ then get down to the local nightclub!
Perhaps I constructed my post badly, it was intended as a positive, with an observation which up to that point nobody else had really mentioned, that is, we don't seem as dominant at the START of the second half as we have been in the first, although we come back strongly again in the later stages. And then I asked the question of concern, I don't see this as a criticism, I wonder why this should be? I'd be more than happy if we were only 10% dominant in a game so long as the three points come home, which of course they have so far, and long may that be. Instead I am vilified by THAT man, "caught out", caught out for what? Making an observation, asking a question, and labelled a "knocker".
Sorry but if that is the sort of reception an observation receives then I am out of here before I "knock" any more.
ps Reginald, one of your earlier praiseworthy messages states Darts have scored 30 goals this season? You could be right if every chance unexpectedly ended up in the net... oops is that another "knock"?
Finally I agree, this is the best squad and football I have seen at PP for many a year, well done SK - COYD

Reading that again and again and i just cannot believe it, i cannot.
You are certainly very gullible Reginald if you think my suggestion that half time breaks be dispensed with is likely to bring about a revolution in the rules of the game? No worries, I will keep my thoughts to myself in future and continue to accept your repetitive worshipping. Everythings fine and will continue to be I am sure.

Re: Dulwich Hamlet (A) 28th August 3 P.M

I enjoyed my trip to the Hamlet on Saturday and was impressed by the crowd and atmosphere, no doubt enhanced by Darts fans, Peckham Pale and a win! This may have been asked before but what are the rules around serving beer for consumption on the terraces? It works in rugby, cricket and Dulwich but I’m not aware of other football grounds. Just thinking of the profit from all those pints of a very drinkable Peckham Pale sold during the game could pay a players weekly wage? Could this be done at PP? COYD
